Being called out again...there was also a comment about wanting her to try food other than from a shopping centre, but it has been deleted.

They seem to think just chopping up tofu straight from the block is a good idea, without any seasoning or flavours or anything

Plain tofu is actually pretty good... as a snack. I haven't been watching her recent content but I really hope she wasn't trying to pass that off as a meal when she's doing double runs and traveling in a foreign country. A lot of people lose weight on vacation in general because they tend to do a little more walking and less eating, but with double runs on top of that, I wouldn't be surprised if she comes out with a video soon about losing her period again.

She always sounds out of breath when she talks?
Running again in 32 degree heat then saying they need water as dehydrated...
Looked a bit awkward during lunch like they didn't have anything to say. Bit strange they just literally don't seem to have common sense about currency, phones etc. And they must get bored if its just the 2 of them, literally never interact with anyone else?

When I started reading this I thought she’d finally had a breakthrough… and then it became all about exercising again
a friend of a friend actually died in Thailand whilst out on a run because of the heat, he passed out in an area where no one saw him until it was way too late, and he was eating very well and wasn't running as much as Holly does, she's being so unbelievably reckless

Looks better than the pizza they had. I don't understand why Holly is so afraid of seasoning and flavor, though. I'm not vegan, but I've seen so many vegans handle it more gracefully than Holly. I remember when she went on an extended field trip in Uni and she made herself miserable the entire time because she didn't pack any food and she didn't like the vegan options provided on the trip. It's ridiculous because she clearly isn't vegan because she cares about animals as she claims. She's vegan because she has body image issues and she needs a therapist.
I can think of Faye Bate as an example of being vegan not entirely for the animals. She said she would use veganism to restrict, and now she is vego. I am not saying being vegan is bad, but I don't think veganism is great for people recovering from EDs due to the restrictive nature of the diet. Less energy dense foods like fruits and vegetables (compared to say animal proteins) can be eaten in large quantities so it looks like a "normal" meal, but despite the portion size, the amount of energy it provides is not enough.

You can definitely recover from an ED as a vegan, but you have to actually eat (a lot), not restrict, and push through any fears of macros, fear foods, etc. Basically you have to go pretty all in on the recovery in every other way or the ED will absolutely lurk in the margins.

Running is considered a particularly bad choice of sport for people in recovery (who want to stay there). Not that Holly would care.

I could be taking your comment the wrong way, but a lot of people with an ED choose to go vegan or vegetarian because they see it as a way of sort of cheating the system because you're less likely to gain weight if you're eating less calorie dense foods. I agree that one can be vegan and be recovered from an ED. I also think that entirely depends on their motivations for going vegan (or vegetarian, pescatarian, etc.)

Definitely not taking it the wrong way! I’m in recovery now and going Vegan/Veggie was 10000% restricting for me (but I was oblivious) obviously you can be vegan and recover but../I think it’s super important that you try all foods in recovery! Just to see if it’s coming from the right place or it’s restriction 😊👍🏻

I’m certainly not arguing with the fact that there are some people who use vegan diets as a way to restrict! In that case I totally agree with you, much better to recover to omni eating as that was normal for you and the veganism was just part of the disorder.

My point was that it is possible (for some, not all!) to fully recover as a vegan. I’m really only talking about strict ethical vegans where the commitment is clearly functioning separately from the ED, though. Usually there are “tells” as to whether it’s just a way to restrict, and I don’t disagree with you that in those cases, trying to “recover” and staying vegan would be detrimental.

apparently, charlie was recently in southeast asia (thailand and laos) and from his highlights it seems that he had way more fun than whatever holly and angelo are doing there.

You know, I was wondering why she'd want to go to Asia again so soon after her first trip to Asia considering she hasn't been to a lot of other places yet, but now I'm thinking their mutual friend may have let it slip that Charlie was going on a trip to Asia and Holly thought she might try to run into him with her new bf. Asia is a vast continent, but it's weird that she went to the same places she's already been to recently and around the time Charlie was there too.
