Or was that part of the payoff deal, that they part pay the cost of the renovations and pay a peppercorn rent for it to remain their official residence, but forego living there in future for Eugenie
Remember reading an article in september about the repayment and it was mentioned Ginge and Cringe wanted to keep Frogmore as "their UK base" 🙄. Guess not, lol 🤭
Seeing as all these estates all belong to the Queen, even when she "gifts" them, she might have just decided it should go to a more deserving member of the RF.🤔

Aww...he supports William, how kind of him 🙄
Sorry for the screenshot, someone might have access to The Telegraph to read this properly.

Actually, if you read attentively, it looks as if they're both in contact with their uncle but not necessarily each other. "Privately" supporting his brother sounds a bit vague.
Who knows, they might actually be in contact. Somehow, William might be able to reason with his hapless brother about his actions of the past few months, and the truly bizarre situation he put himself in 🤔

The lovely Bizzy Bee for some light relief

PR no 13 come in please

William gets it right again

Prince Harry backs 'drive for truth' over Panorama as he signals support for his brother

The Duke of Sussex considers the investigation into Martin Bashir’s interview with his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, a "drive for truth," it emerged yesterday, as he signalled support for his brother.

The Duke, 36, has been closely following developments on the furore surrounding the Panorama interview and cares deeply about the Princess’s legacy.

Despite privately supporting the Duke of Cambridge in “tentatively” welcoming a judge-led inquiry, the Duke has chosen to remain silent on the subject.

But he was criticised for doing so yesterday, amid suggestions that his reticence was reflective of a rift with his brother, comments which friends described as “deeply offensive”.

A source close to the Duke told the Telegraph: “Harry is getting regular updates and is aware of everything that is happening.

“You do not need a public statement to imagine how he is feeling privately, people know how much his mother means to him.

He has bravely spoken out in the past about loss and grief, and the immense impact it has had on him.

“Sadly, some people are not just seeing this as a drive for truth, but also trying to use this as an opportunity to try to drive a wedge between the brothers.”

Both brothers are understood to have been in close contact with their uncle, Earl Spencer, who has been keeping them abreast of progress.

After weeks of allegations about the subterfuge used to win the Princess’s trust, about forged bank statements and fantastical stories, Tim Davie, the BBC director general, announced an independent inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the interview and the apparent cover-up.

In his first intervention since the row plunged the BBC into crisis, the Duke of Cambridge, 38, on Wednesday welcomed the appointment of Lord Dyson, a former Master of the Rolls, to lead the investigation, describing it as "a step in the right direction" that would "help establish the truth behind the actions that led to the Panorama interview".

His comments were widely seen as an indication into how carefully the Duke is monitoring developments and his concern over the allegations.

While his brother, who is being kept updated at his new home in California, backs the inquiry, he is understood to feel wary of a campaign led by tabloid newspapers that he holds partly responsible for his mother’s death.

The sensitivities surrounding the investigation were laid bare last night when Lord Spencer revealed that he was “not at all satisfied” with its parameters.

He revealed on Twitter that he had told the BBC Lord Dyson “must be free to examine every aspect of this matter, from 1995 to today, as he sees fit.”

He did not explain which elements he deemed missing from the terms of reference for the inquiry but one aspect of the scandal that has not been included is the BBC’s decision to rehire Martin Bashir as religious affairs correspondent in 2016.

Lord Spencer wrote on Twitter: “As I’ve told the BBC this evening, I’m not at all satisfied with the parameters they’ve set around their enquiry into the @BBCPanorama interview with Diana of 25 years ago tonight. Lord Dyson must be free to examine every aspect of this matter, from 1995 to today, as he sees fit.”

On Friday night, it was reported that Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank had moved into the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's property Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: “Frogmore is the private residence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and any arrangements are a matter for them.”

Image from that first night in soho house in Toronto when Markus kindly plopped smeggy onto hazza's penis introduced smeggy to her soul mate, after which a delicious chicken dinner was enjoyed by all three of them in a private room.
Don't believe me? Hazza has even signed the photo with his Eton nickname:m

So seeing as FM has gone to E&J if they were to come back the uk where would they stay? Would gangan put them up or would they hotel it?!
Hotel, lol, they're being frozen out. When they eventually realise they need to still be part of the Royal family, do events etc, to make money, they'll want back in. It'll be too late. It's exactly what happened to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. No invitations, no car to meet them at the airport. 😁

Not sure if this is to be believed but interesting development if it is true....so..are they not coming back?
Smeggy will never set foot in this country again and never had any intention of coming back.

As for Hazno if he ever returns post divorce he would probably rather live in London. Why would he want a cottage in the country that would remind him of everything that went wrong? That place was never right for him and Smeggy. I bet he would go back to Kensington Palace.

Curious about Earl Spencer’s timing for demanding this investigation. Why now? Why not, say, 10 years ago. Was it only just revealed that the bank statements were forged?

Now Harry has made clear his support for an investigation into Bashir, will the sugars all do a U turn on their attack on William for requesting the same? They (yet again) totally misunderstood what the inquiry was for - assumed it was to call into question what Diana said in the interview. Honestly, you couldn’t make it up. Her squad are as thick as pigshit.

What about his old KP Apartment? Can they still use that? If they will only ever stay for small chunks of time in England (Christmas and summer comes with its own accommodations) they just don’t need Frogmore Cottage. I am pretty sure they will be back from time to time though. But their main living place is going to the be the USA. Weren’t they made to pay rent now? I would definitely get rid of it, especially after not using it for almost a year.
I cannot help and think they would have hold onto the property if it would have been much bigger though.

I disagree with all the screams of how very damaging and threatening the Crown is though. Even though it is noticeable that the light they shine onto the characters and storyline definitely got much colder. The BRF would do good in letting it slip that they found it to be an interesting piece of fiction. Maybe wondering if the producers/authors didn’t put enough research in as they got so much wrong. And being completely understanding that they, as they have no inside information, had to make things up, but finding it said that they are misleading their audience as they should make it clear that most conversations have never happened in real life. Stressing the fiction point is crucial. The events that where out there to be seen cannot be hidden. The fact that this family is not exactly warm and a role model for good family dynamic is very well known. I do think a more relaxed reaction is due. Complaining will always make them look as if they want to hide it. Giving something attention shows the public it deserves attention. That is the whole idea behind “never explain, never complain” and why they haven’t done anything about Andrew. Defending him openly would be a disaster, stripping him from titles and put him on a plain to the USA or even have him investigated will be a sign that they think he his indeed guilty (of whatever). That is why I am extremely baffled that they allow their staff to feed snippets about the Sussex topic to the press. Making sure they cannot create headlines for themselves (wreath debacle) while also acting as if they don’t exist professionally would pay off and only make their downfall faster. BP/KP/CH doesn’t comment on private citizens. There isn’t more to say. Every personal reaction should stay privat.
The Sussexes would probably go crazy if the constant comment from Palace sources would dry up. Only half the headlines for them.

A new thread ( again )
Harry agreeing with Wills ( wowzer )
Haznosense and Megs " giving " Frogmore Cottage to Eugenie and family ( doubtful)

The RF need not fuss and complain about The Crown. Many of us here actually lived through the real life events as they happened... we had it all thrust down our throats then... just becuse the RF now have to face a sort of playback after they hoped everything was well and trully under the carpet...all I can say is Ha B**** Ha.
