I agree they do good, but children shouldn't ever be made an exhibition of imo. They should do it privately, as much as they want and nothing to stop them working 24/7 behind the scenes. Like Anne, But Cam's now using terminally ill children as PR, and her frog son is always promoting her. It's become virtue-signalling, and maybe Cam picked the idea up from Catherine if she's been doing it privately until recently? Seen the Wales' popularity - but if she thinks it's child-based she's mistaken.

The Stoats use terminally ill children all the time, bereaved ones or even ones that have been killed. The Waleses not so much and we didn't actually see the Southport families who were invited to Catherine 's Carol Concert.

As you say Cam's been doing this work for years, but now it's public photos. If that was my child I'd not want him or her in the press - but that's just me, another way of looking at it.

BIB I was concerned - and voiced it here - about the press intruding into those families' grief. At the time, I thought the info about the Southport families being invited had come from KP, and I was disappointed.

But having thought about it, and in view of @Cinnamon.girl's comment, I was wrong. It's likely - indeed far more likely - that a generic guest list was released to the press, and the interns journalists, googled the names and found out that way. <Hangs head in shame.>

You have to wonder about Christmas in the ginge and cringe house.

You have cringe who probably spent Christmas with her dad and her mum nowhere to be seen. She's talked about being an only child and wanting a big family of cousins around her. She would have got that with the RF but walked away from it.

Then you have Ginge. Who grew up with Sandringham Christmas's filled with a massive extended family and Christmas traditions. One being watching Granny on TV. You wonder if part of his problem is that he had a brother and loads of cousins who was never the centre of attention so that's his real issue.

You also wonder what the flat packs would make of the Royal Christmas in the unlikely event they were ever invited! And that's the tradegy here. 2 kids who're completely missing out on family. Uncle William to talk too when dad isn't happy that they're not sporty enough. Cousin Louise who understand about the pressures of being a royal princess.

I've said this before but I think part of the reason they're hidden away is because they're not as photogenic as the Wales kids. But look at Kady Louise. She was never hidden away and was given a bridesmaid role at William and Kates wedding.

I do think that deep down Ginge misses his old life. The Christmas where all you have to do is turn up. But never mind. He'll probably get an invite when he's divorced!!!

I think the only reason Trevor has survived in one piece is because he's refused to spill the beans. He's not short of money, is happy and has a lovely family - he's wise enough to know when to let well alone.

All damaging information on the Ho and her Black Mamba mother has been removed from the internet. Damaging chunks were cut out of Spare leaving only stuff we already knew, as the interesting stuff has been "deleted" by Harald and Moehringer.
If Trevor wrote a tell-all it would be squashed just like everything else has been squashed that will reveal the truth.

At this time, it almost look like William and Hazno were brought up by different people. I saw the darts video with Hannah Waddingham and William is joking, having fun, laughing, but within the lines of respect and what you'd expect of a royal. Hazno's video with Jelly Roll is pure white trash. The swearing, the complete lack of content, the fairness of it all. And that lousy, cheap sense of humour.

So, it's clear to me now, that they were brought up with different sets of demands and Hazno's had a pass on everything. The ILBW just accelerated the train wreck he was always going to be.

Were you wrong? I think you were right. I also thought KP Catherine invited them personally as that's what all the headlines said, but their names or photos weren't released which was fine and respectful, not making an exhibition of them. Nothing wrong imo with how it was all done, but what did you think?
I know some posters here were uneasy that she'd invited them, and I wonder now given what you say if she intended to keep it secret but the press found out and she was bounced into announcing it?

Anyone who has had dealings with schools will confirm that parents have to give permission for their child to be filmed or photographed at all.

There's the Data Protection act and safeguarding laws that mean it's illegal to use images of children without explicit written consent of a parent or guardian. There's simply no way that the parents who didn't agree to their child being filmed or photographed would have seen them plastered all over the media. It just would not happen

I think that it's also likely that they all received souvenir photographs and videos of what would be a memorable and special day.

So according to an investment calculator, that could be worth about £2.5 million each after 20 years.

The Stoat has now resorted to clandestinely using a Montecito neighbour's Moggy, GingerLily.

I'm getting confused now (not hard!).

I think that Catherine personally made sure that the Southport families were invited. She and William had met them, and I believe she's sincere in the concern and sympathy she has for them, not just in terms of the horrific murder of their children, the first Christmas without them, and the impact of it all on the remaining siblings, but the knowledge that the trial of the accused is still to come with the attendant publicity and exposure to the wider world.

Prior to the concert, the press reported that the Southport families would be attending the concert. No other attendees were mentioned in the 'story'. The report/s implied - or rather I inferred - that KP had made a particular point of telling the press about the bereaved families in particular being invited to the Carol Concert. Presumably in the certain knowledge it would lead to copy in terms of juxtaposing Catherine / the Waleses with the bereaved families. Which is why I posted here saying how disappointed I was.

I now think I was wrong. Your mention of the press not reporting the Southport families' attendance on the day itself jogged my memory.

I think what actually happened was a run of the mill press release about the Carol Concert guest list by KP. Just like the RF do prior to any public event: for information and so that reporting of invitees / attendees could be accurate, names spelled correctly and so on.

Subsequently, as part of the grunt work of turning straw into gold, the interns at the DM et al googled the names on the list to see if there was anyone that would warrant some 'good' copy. They found the Southport families' names, and a story was spun from that.

Hope that explains what I meant.
