However, this is the North Sea we are talking about and it is still true to say that vampires cannot cross running water.

Hey guess what, my Irish grandmother reckoned her husband's (my grandfather's) family were descended from seals/ selkies.

No singing involved though.
 
i think this is the same manifesting as the ‘apartment in New York’ and the move to Malibu. She doesn’t want to live in Portugal - she has no interest in anything Portugal has to offer, she only wants Hollywood access and fame. (She definitely doesn’t want to live on an estate - it’s not exclusive enough.
 
I know that the duplicitous duo like to use words as in jokes, so I was doing a little research on the Archie Harrison combo, bear with me. Archie in the urban dictionary means coccaine apparently, also the full name lends itself to Archi-bald- harrys-son. As he is nearly bald maybe he thought it was best to get in with the bald jokes first. Wasn't the name also code for Prince George, all rather strange whatever games they are playing.

It’s like that person that continually flounces and then comes back just to be sure - ie if we announce we’re leaving maybe all the people we want to be seen with will realise we’d be better off staying and they’ll finally be our friends?!

Yes, I think it's over a £million people can buy their way into Portugal as a tax efficient place to live and still be able to move around Europe freely because of Schengen etc.

So if H&M are moving to Portugal it will be about the tax benefits. I know someone that was thinking of doing this (selling their business) but for some reason or other something's changing in the nearish future and they decided not as beneficial (I could be wrong and no actual facts in this post, but just saying it's something I've vaguely heard in the background of people selling up businesses and becoming resident in Portugal means they're quids in.

So typical leftie behaviour of saying paying full tax is for those working PAYE and those with other income streams don't actually need to pay their 45% tax etc same as everyone else.

Probably ahead of Kamala losing they're looking for somewhere to squirrel money away from a potential Trump presidency?
Oh just looked at the link I posted below and it explains what is changing, but discussing the benefits of still moving to Portugal.

You cannot have been resident in Portugal in the preceding five years and your status will last ten years. If you qualify, you will benefit from a 20% flat tax rate on employment/self-employment income, and an exemption for foreign income, such as employment income, rent, dividends etc.27 Feb 2024

Coincidence...I read "The Sea House" by Elisabeth Gifford just last month, was amongst the sale shelf at my local library, bargain at 50p! Scottish and Irish family links here too, but no selkie connections!

Its the income thing that I was wondering about.
What actual or literal 'income' do they have? Neither work.
His only 'job' is Chimpo at Better Up. If he lives in Portugal, how can he do that job?
Their expenses claimed from Archewell?
Unless he is drawing an income from his capital? I guess he is.
