Whenever you start to feel sorry for him, just remember that (against all advice) he rode a pregnant polo pony so brutally hard that she collapsed and died after the game - and her unborn foal with her.

That always stops me in my tracks when I start to regard him as human.

The club is in the town of Melides, which was described in 2022 as Portugal’s “next big beach town” in an article published by Conde Nast Traveler.

There has been no suggestion that Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, plan to give up their 18,000-square-foot California mansion, which they purchased in 2020.

However, the Daily Mail suggests that the purchase of the home in Portugal may well have enabled the couple to acquire what is known as a “golden visa,” a program that allows those who make investments in the economies of participating countries to gain legal rights there.

“In its most basic form, golden visa acquisition, or residence by investment and citizenship by investment, denotes the process whereby qualified, vetted candidates are granted either full residence or citizenship rights in exchange for a defined economic contribution to the host country,” law firm Henley & Partners explains on its website. “Golden visa programs give high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) the option of physically relocating to a favorable jurisdiction — either now or upon retirement — and becoming residents of that state with full legal rights, including the right to live, work, study, and receive healthcare in that country.”

The acquisition of a “golden visa” would enable Meghan, who was born in the U.S., and never completed her bid to become a British citizen while she was living in the U.K., and Harry to come and go from the European Union’s Schengen region without a obtaining a visa.

The Schengen area encompasses 29 European countries, including Portugal, France, Spain, and Germany, which have officially abolished all border controls at their mutual borders."

Why pay a secret visit to Eug and Jack in 2023 if they had already bought a property when they left Frogmore in June 2020? It sounds a more recent purchase if true, and could be related to the Stoat's US visa difficulties although those seem to have been ironed out for him. Portugal could be a halfway house for them between the US and UK, though as the UK isn't part of the Schengen Area she'd not be able to come and go to England.
I wonder if the Flatpacks could be formalised in Portugal, get visas somehow and become Flatpaques Portugueses?

Ffarchie Flatpaques has a certain ‘ring’ to it don’t you think? When all titles are removed by Wills this will be his new name and I predict it will take him far ………….

They may have bought nothing. This may be nothing more than a sales pitch using a royal name. Maybe all they bought was some land and something has to be built. I would guess this because I don't see them in a two bedroom home with two patios, but I also don't see either of them building anything ever. They are the kind of people that want to just move in and do nothing just like in Montecito. I see George Clooney's name being bandied about as well. Not a surprise since Jack was selling liquor for him when he still owned it.

I don't think that Harry is going to use his money and put it in her name only. There is zero reason to do this. He isn't going to be sued for malpractice like an attorney or a physician.
