The slavery worms are out of the can, he took the lid off when he pompously said that "slavery was a conversation whose time had come".
It hasn't come and it should never have come, he's a woke dangerous fool.

I suspect Starmer hitting this on the head was in response to justified public anger. The researchers are in BP now looking for evidence, and this shameful exercise will continue on the quiet, hidden from public view just like the Sussex Squad activities.

Very odd this contradiction between what's actually happening and what Starmer said.
If there's to be no reparations what are they doing trawling through the Royal Archives? I thought Chuck was trying to preserve the Commonwealth not cause trouble, or will the UK pay up? After all, we don't matter much if at all as we're lied to and treated with contempt? That's how it looks to me.

If Charles is so keen on making reparations for slavery, let him pay them out of his personal fortune - after all, he's the one who has benefitted from from it.

Maybe to avoid a confrontation which could get ugly, the Government should issue a statement that The King's health has taken a turn and, sadly, his proposed trip to Australia and Samoa must be rescheduled.

Then spend the next few months figuring out how to get out of the self-created mess.

Something needed to be done. The ability for any of them to bully needed to be eliminated. There are issues currently with an over-abundance of bias towards TPTB, but that's true of almost all the mainstream (and other!) news organisations in India, including both print and broadcast.

That being said, the online desks of most (not all), including HR, can't be trusted. Most look for and put out clickbait. Most of it is rehashed from other publications. As far as I understand, newspapers here aren't likely to have 'royal reporters' so anything they're putting out is either rehashed from other publications or made up on the basis of rumours.

That being said, HT online is still more credible than the couple of Pakistani outlets Smegs uses for her puff pieces and musicmundial or whatever site that is.

HT does have at least a couple of Sugars/Sugar-y ones on board, so make of that what you will.

Honestly Charles never seems to have ever given a duck about the institution that gave him all the wealth and power he has. He always went "against the grain" and "did his own thing" in the only way he could to rebel -- the public bickering in his first marriage, the talking to plants, etc. Acting for his own benefit like a brat, unbecoming of an heir. More becoming of a spare. :cautious: #wishAnnewasfirstlol

HMTQ understood she was in a position much bigger than herself and she stood up for it and put it first. OTOH, Charles thinks he's the main character in everybody's life story. He's a rich boy whose parents ran the business for too long for him to gain any skills besides filing the papers. He never became attached to it.

He lets these attacks on the Waleses go on because he's just here for himself and it's c'est la vie to the institution after he's gone as far as he's concerned. It's good to see William starting young to do statesman things and represent the ROLE while still having the maturity to prioritise his family.
