I think she maybe believes that's BP allowed the falsehoods in the media to continue because they never denied the stories that came out about her. I remember there being a hissy fit because they wouldn't deny the stories, but when they had reviewed them, the stories all had an element of truth within them so couldn't deny them.

Perpetuating falsehoods just happens to fit her victim narrative better than saying "they wouldn't lie for me".
 
Never posted before, just caught up with this new thread. That new Clip of the interview is something else 😂 the interview is going to go badly if the clips are anything to go by! They are so disrespectful to the royal family, aka the only link to anything that makes them even slightly interesting. Stop using duke and duchess and piss off into obscurity.
 
I'm not particularly knowledgable on this whole saga, but find the way its playing out fascinating. I never normally take notice of royal goings on but this whole thing is just such a mess. These threads have been very informative. I always wondered why meg made out she was treated so differently. Kate used to get hounded by the press and was under far more scrutiny in the early years but she seemed to stick it out and it would appear they get left in peace now. What was different about Meghan? Surely kate would have advised her on these things and told her what to expect? I dont understand it all but Meghan has always come across to me like the mean girl school bully. All nicely nice to the people who matter and serve a purpose but a complete witch behind the scenes. Anyone who needs to prove how virtuous and charitable the are always get my hackles up.
 
You have to question their end game don’t you? I mean they’re living in a country that have only just marginally got rid of Trump- look at some of the other world leaders and their track records on race and human rights! Then you’ve got Meghan sat with Oprah crying that the 90yr old head of our country who gave her a beautiful wedding, titles, a beautiful home was “perpetuating falsehoods”. What falsehoods?? She did absolutely nothing!

This makes me so sad/angry! The level of disrespect!!
The Royal Family, whether people like them or not, are part of British culture and tradition. If someone were to disrespect others culture/traditions, they would be called out for it. So how is it fine for her to act and speak the way she does towards them!
I don't even like to talk about the issues of racism against Meghan as I don't think her race ever played a part in how she was perceived over here, it's a bit like how some class wholf whistling as sexual assault- it makes a mockery of true victims of assault. But in the way people cry out about respecting cultures of others, why couldn't Meghan respect the British culture of The Royal Family?
This isn't me making light of the struggles of others by trying to equate the RF situation. What I'm trying to say is, she knew how the royal family worked so why get involved if she couldn't respect that?! I wouldn't go to the Vatican wearing shorts and a vest top because I respect that's their way!

this is just symptomatic of Harry’s well known paranoia and hers too. They both have personality disorders- they are a good match but so toxic to others.

If this was all false and a smear campaign, what would be the point of the bullying stories coming out now? Surely if it wasn't true, or there were no witnesses, it would have been dealt with internally and that would be that. Those being untruthful would have been reprimanded or fired and they would be on their merry way.
(And no, M&H, it's not timed because this interview is airing - you're not that important.)

The fact that BP are investigating and actually addressed it publicly speaks volumes. They all know it's true. It wasn't dealt with properly at the time and the witch was allowed to get away with murder while she was there.

Those poor members of the household who were bullied by her (let's face it, we don't know yet the full extent of how many people were victim of this witch, and probably never will know fully) are real people. You cannot address their experiences in a statement that tries to brush this under the carpet like it's a non issue.

If they had any sense, (which they don’t) and it wasn't true, what M&H should have said was that they are shocked to hear about the "claims" and they welcome the investigation by BP.

How can they say its "misleading and harmful misinformation". How is it misleading when Knauf emailed Case saying he was concerned about it. How is it misinformation when the head of bleeping HR in BP was also aware and apparently agreed with him. They are witnesses. They can't voice their concerns or agree with something they aren't aware is happening!

M&H know they are up shits creek without a paddle. What they are still too stupid to understand is that the British Press are ruthless. They are not untouchable and the press will just keep going and going and going. Truth or lies, they will always be one step ahead.

This interview with Oprah is attempted damage limitation from the very beginning (not to mention their desperate need for money) but what they don't know is it's just going to get worse for them after this and I'm here for it!

It’s affirming to the viewer that what Meghan says is the truth. Rather than letting her story be judged on merit and content.
It’s all dressed up as woke, supportive language when really it’s manipulation of the viewer.

It’s so bleeping, stupid sounding too. Things are either the truth or not. If only Meghan thinks they are the truth, they probably aren’t. Surely part of this kind of interview is to present yourself and let people make their own mind up whether you are talking tit or not?

Watching BBC breakfast this morning, reporting on the latest clip from the Oprah interview, and talking to the American showbiz reporter, who was talking about how interested the American public are in this story, and how many celebrities are coming out in support for Meghan!
Who are these supportive celebrities?

But also. more seriously: ...Is this Oprah interview intended to be comedic or satire? If it is then fair enough...the Media took the mickey out of Trump ruthlessly in some quarters

But in serious Journalism, the British press and people at least outwardly respected President Trump because he was the president of the United states and gave his position the respect and gravitas that it deserved. The Queen is still the head officially of the British political system. Are there ground for some kind of serious diplomatic incident arising out of this Meghan and Harry Oprah interview?

This maybe a bit of a stretch...........but ...............If the American press or TV stations deliberately filmed and broadcast a highly negative interview about Boris Johnson, today, for clicks and financial gain.........I bet the British parliament would be furious! And diplomatic questions may well be asked! But this is exactly what Meghan, Harry and Oprah and CBS are doing!

The British Royal family aren't just a celebrity family like the Kardashians or the Ozzy Osbornes....They are still officially part of the British democratic system! Which is why they have to be so careful to be politically neutral! In some respects, by criticising out constitutional monarchy, As Meghan, Harry and Oprah and CBS are deliberately criticising the British political system...maybe something officially should be said!
