Tattlers, you are all so brilliant with the movie titles. I came to the party too late, all my favs are gone. Thats the problem with living in Oz the timeline doesnt match up. I am always late to the party. BTW I cant be bothered putting in my ' in the words thats why they are always missing. Sorry if it irritates but Im lazy.New game! (So I'm bored, sue me )
Think of a film title that sums up Harry's life now. You can also do wifey if you want to. You can change as many words as you like.
The obvious one is 'Dirty Harry' but I'm also going to throw in 'Gone with the Sinned'.
I like it but shouldn't that be Oprah Whinefrey? It would be easy enough to print one of these tacky drawings on tattoo paper and apply it like any other temporary tattoo if you really wanted to go all out. Just make sure you print it reversed so it will go on right.
I made another poster. My fauxtoshop is rusty...

I think it’s not that bad to be honest. It’s really not important if the person who plays her is white, black, red or orange as long as the acting is great. What I find highly annoying about the film is that it doesn’t seem to bring any new angle to the whole story. How many re-tellings of the exact same thing do we need? I would be happy to see something new, but just casting someone black is not exactly exciting but looks just like a money grab. Who knows, maybe they did come up with a new perspective. The only thing I would really hate would be if they go the victim narrative and sudden the black Anne Bohlen gets unbelievably unfairly treated and beheaded while being an absolute angel. I don’t see them playing on her questionable moves and ambition because that would look bad with some parts of the audience.Off Topic
I just saw that a black woman is playing Anne Boleyn. Why do I have a WTF moment about that.? Can you imagine the woke brigade going bonkers (there’s that word again) over someone white playing a black historical figure. That’s all.
Back to the two losers who I don’t really have much to say about because it is spookily quiet and I am waiting for the explosion with bated breath.
My Mum worked as a teacher for many years before she retired, and for a while she run the drug prevention education at her school. As a kid/young teen, I ended up several times in various screenings of the short movies or whatever they were showing to the teens there (not UK). I wasn't exposed to any drugs until I went to Uni (yep, watchful eyes of my parents, a bit sheltered, not entirely ), but by that time the effects of them, particularly heroin, were so embedded on my brain, that never had any desire to start experimenting. Very grateful for that. And the fact that I really had no reasons or pain in my childhood to escape into that world later, but I appreciate that it's complicated.I've done a lot of drugs in my youth but I didn;t touch heroin adn I've got a 1980s poster on the London Underground to thank for that. It was a picture of a young woman with horrible skin and the tagline as 'Skincare by Heroin' I've always maintained that the best way to prevent young people from smoking or drug taking is to aim adverts at their vanity, worked for me
Great that the papers are now talking about itMirror has the story of Lady C's petition

'A boy of course'Well, to be fair the helpers were spot on.
Your daughter should meet mine. She wet her knickers at play school so she took them off and put them in the basket of Lego. Someone touted on her (a boy of course) and the teacher asked her why she put her wet knickers in the lego basket and she said that's where her mammy puts dirty knickers.
NO. I DO NOT!
She meant the laundry basket. (but I would say that)
Your user name. LuvMegLongtime. That shoulld do it.
It was more the hyprocisy of the situation. No way would the woke lot stay quiet if a white person portrayed a black historical figure. We had a whole play shut down because the lead character was trans and the man who was going to play him was bi. Not trans. Didnt matter that he was the best actor for the role he wasnt trans so he should not be allowed to play that character. So they got the whole play shut down so everyone lost their jobs after being out of work for months because of covid. Many of them didnt get assistance neither as most in that industry are casuals. Just because a small minority had to make some point.I know, using a black actor just for the sake of it. Can't alter history so just stick to the facts. I would have watched it but won't now on principle.
I am waiting for Martin Luther King to be played by a white actor now - like that's going to happen.
So remember those Scientology rumours?

Is anyone else picturing a birthing scene like in the Handmaid's Tale?
