Catherine is only safe as long as he is locked up. And Ryan would be no more if Catherine hadn't got there in time...I don't understand how Neil and Alison have forgotten that.

And the upcoming court appearance and wedding are setting the scene for massive plot twist I'm sure..
 
Just binged watched from series 1 and now caught up, can't believe I never watched it before, some interesting theories on here that I never thought of

I'm thinking maybe there will be more about who gave the letter to Ryan from TLR rather than just a random man? They seemed to brush over that a bit , might be wrong though and it never gets mentioned again.

Also maybe Ryan is emotionally getting to TLR like forming a "bond" getting to know each other and then cutting him off as punishment , again just a thought

Yes. And when he sent Neil off to get tea and biscuits, complete change from how he greeted Ryan. James Norton’s acting is impeccable in how he plays TLR.

I had never seen this before but binge watched series 1&2 last week and am up to date with 3 now.
The only reason they know TLR is Ryan’s Dad is because Becky wrote in her suicide note that she’d been raped and it was TLR.
If Daniel is involved and there’s more to it, he could have written the note? I’m not sure he is. Really disliked him in series1 and he was very angry with Becky and the people she hung around with but I’ve warmed to him since.

I wonder if Neil is TLR’s father?🤔If I remember correctly(tho maybe I’m imagining it !) in Season 2 didn’t Catherine question Neil about the death of TLR’s mother as he had her number in his phone? Also, when TLR got his tiny phone the message said there were good gift ideas or something in the newsagents. Doesn’t Neil work there??
 
I don’t think Neil is TLRs dad, but I do think he’s scared shitless of him and under some sort of threat from the way he reacted to TLR snarling at him at the prison. He’s always been spineless and pathetic (same as Claire) but that was next level.
I wonder whether the fact they reminded us how rich Nev is will be important? Flash car, big house he’s given to the daughter etc.
I did laugh at the two idiots in the civic. I know they’re probably not the sharpest knives in the drawer but going round and round (AND ROUND) was ridiculous.
I know there’s been speculation about what creepy teacher wants with Ryan, but his wife said outright, he’s grooming him. He knocks them down to build them up and has done it before. Given he’s had first hand experience with Catherine and seemed to tit himself, it is strange he’s focussed on Ryan… but then she (uncharacteristically imo) kicked him out so I guess that leaves him vulnerable. I just feel so so sorry for the teachers daughters. God I hope it isn’t them who find their mum.. but I think it might be. Teacher seems to come home long after the kids on other days.

They are quite young so probably still need collecting. He'll probably get a phone call and assume she's taken drugs again and is passed out in bed. I'm sure they mentioned her forgetting to collect them before in the first episode.
 
Theory about Rob/Joanne:

Faisel will either try and frame Rob or attempt to dispose of Joanne's body himself and suspicion will then still fall on Rob (but is has been flagged up last ep how difficult it would be for one person to move a dead body)

If she is found in the house (most likely by Rob) then he will be prime suspect (so much evidence of coercive control). So if Rob does find her, he is most likely to try and dispose of the body and report her missing

Another scenario - in the process of grooming Ryan, he perhaps invites him back to his house to give him something he has in the garage - they discover Joanne together and he scares Ryan into helping him get rid of her (far-fetched I know!)

But I do think if Rob finds her, he's probably not going straight to the police as he will be the most likely suspect
