Sad to see lovely Kevin go but it was the correct decision.

I actually like all of the bakers left in the competition. After my distaste for Crystelle last year it's a relief to find them all watchable

I was surprised they didn’t mention Maxi when talking about who could go out, considering it was a set custard challenge and her cake hardly had any in. (Not mad though, her or Sandro are my winners)

I think Janusz dodged a bullet this week. Thank goodness he did really well in the first round.
I thought he’d make the final three, but he seems a little inconsistent.
I’m now thinking Maxi, Sandro and Syabira, with Maxi or Syabira the winner.

does anyone else remember the bread week Paul made the iconic lion bread and didn’t win star baker BECAUSE HE CAME LAST IN THE TECHNICAL?! Sandro was robbed!

and I’m pleased Janusz didn’t go, I think it was Kevin’s time, but I feel like if, for example, Maxy had made something that looked bad, but tasted amazing for the showstopper they’d have kept her in. The judging just seems inconsistent.

Completely agree, the judging seems very hit and miss. I think Kevin was unlucky this week, and Janusz was very lucky. At this stage of the competition you just can't really afford to have so many mistakes.

Hopefully next week we will have more actual baking?!

Not really unless they were trying to actually sabotage each other. I think it shows how they actually become friends through the show and still want to best for each other

I’m in two minds about them all helping each other, on one hand I think you should be able to complete your bake yourself and show you’re competent enough to do it in the time given, but on the other I think it’s a nice thing to do and I like seeing their friendships

I love how the lion bread gets brought up every series on Tattle and that it lives in my head rent-free ever since it was shown on telly. It's been 7 years, I really should get over it now but I'm still fuming for Lion Bread Paul

I've said it before and I'll say it again. To this day, Paul's lion bread is still the BEST thing EVER seen on Bake Off.
