Not sure if it’s been said as haven’t caught up, but I don’t miss mel and sue AND, can I just say, I do not miss the mid episode history lesson.
I really don’t care how scones were made during the Victorian era.
It has got a bit boring and repetitive now. I'm not sure how they could save it. Obviously no one really likes Paul but I dunno if replacing him would help or just make it even further removed from the original.
I've said before how I don't like the crazy challenges but I honestly think just going back to basics with things that people actually bake at home coupled with the more obscure technical challenge would make it a lot more watchable.
It’s honestly really enjoyable, kind of like if Scrapheap Challenge and Bake-Off had a baby! Andrew is a great judge, as he bridges the gap between baking and engineering and comes across very well! He was pretty young on Bake-Off, late teens or early 20’s, I think, and has matured rather nicely! There are still a couple of episodes left to enjoy too, they come out next week! It has definitely filled the Bake-Off void for me!Brilliant. I loved Andrew, he was so adorable and unbelievably talented. Will have to give this a watch.
I used to love the food history bits, I always found them super interesting and informative, but social history ( fashion, food and fun!) is the only aspect of history I enjoy! Not sure if it’s been said as haven’t caught up, but I don’t miss mel and sue AND, can I just say, I do not miss the mid episode history lesson.

I can’t ever remember how many series we are at now but I think it might have peaked and it’s getting a bit boring. It was on bbc 2 as a sleeper hit when it was very charming and a bit amateurish and travelled around, then became a big thing on bbc 1 and gave us Nadiya who must be the biggest winner of bake off and then the channel 4 move to adverts took a bit of shine off and now it’s just hanging around. I like Prue - I think she’s a nicer person than Mary (controversial) but Paul is a parody and the other two don’t add anything.

I also loved Mel and Sue, so much silly innuendo, their friendship/rapport was fab to see, loved their interactions with the contestants even though they did steal ingredients etc.
Mary Berry going was a blow too, though I quite like Prue ( she is pretty goid at tempering Paul’s harshness with some kind words, but not quite as well as Mary Berry did). Sandy I liked as a presenter, but all Noel’s jokes about her height or lack thereof wore thin very quickly, as did the stupid puns! Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding work well together, but I don’t enjoy seeing them on screen for reasons I cannot pinpoint. I think it would be good to have a former contestant as a host, like Liam, who did Junior Bake-Off, which was rather enjoyable!
Thinking back to the first series, where the first challenge was to make and decorate a chocolate cake, I wish they would go back to bakes that inexperienced cooks could try at home and be successful.
Thank you!He was 25/26 in the show, he is 30/31 now
