I’m really not sure she will get a documentary etc out of this as she’s hoping because she won’t want to broadcast the truth that her weight put her in this position, or that she likely ignored warnings during the early consultant-led days of her pregnancy. No half decent documentary maker would indulge her manifestation “because I’m me” BS and completely ignore the blindingly obvious.

also i doubt the BBC or anyone credible would DARE to repeat or give a bigger platform to her utter utter NONSENSE

Not to mention that she was out getting her nails done with Covid symptoms. That seems to be brushed under the carpet.
I’m not taking away from the fact that what a horrendous ordeal that is to go through being in hospital like that. It must be one of the worst things you can experience. I just can’t imagine coming out the other end of months of having nurses wipe my arse thinking “I am amazing.”

I did not know this!? How did you find out? What a massive twit.

saw on Reddit - if you add the dates up from her family’s statement about her having Covid symptoms around two weeks before the baby was born and she had tweeted about being out over those dates apparently.
I’ve also read she has downplayed Covid and has made some anti vaccine commenhs but I’ve never seen those.
hopefully not true and perhaps the dates were out by a few days.

Long time lurker, first time poster here.

While I’m delighted Grace is awake and doing seemingly better, her tweets angered me to no end. My great auntie sadly passed away in December after getting ill with covid she caught in the hospital. Did she not want to live enough? Or was she not ‘her’ enough? Stfu, Grace. You are alive because of the joint efforts of the NHS and modern medicine, not because you’re a special ethereal person who happened to pull through on your own. So sickening.

Ok I've changed my opinions a bit from what people may have posted earlier. She can praise and talk about her faith but she also should praise the healthcare staff who saved her life. I don't know something is not right with this girl 🙄. Just very fishy. I think every high profile person who was in hospital praised the staff for their efforts. I do think it's narcissistic the way in which she is posting. I am glad she's made a good recovery though and wish her all the best .

I think we all hoped this horrific experience would be a wake up call for her but it seems to have had the opposite effect... she thinks she’s superhuman because she’s survived a virus that has claimed so many lives. As a lot of people have said, her pulling through was purely down to the hard work of the NHS. Not her being god’s chosen child or some sort of miracle. I agree with previous commenters that she’s reluctant to thank the NHS cos that’d be admitting that her own size and health status put her in hospital.

This has reinforced her self-centred views: she won’t see herself as an obese mother who should make changes so she can run around with her son. She’ll see herself as so strong and healthy because she woke up from the coma. I won’t say she’s beat Covid because we’ve all heard about the long term effects, so she’s not out of the woods yet.

I’m sorry but if she had been admitted to hospital in the huge peaks where there was such limited resource, I don’t think she would have survived.

I wonder what other influencers REALLY think of her gross tweets.

Nice but dim Callie Thorpe came crawling back when she heard the news after ostracising Grace from the power fats of Twitter. It’s all opportunities for engagement and branding isn’t it, Grace’s posts are highly visible now and the algo favours blue ticks, put some tit prayer emojis under each pic and you’re quids in.

So many people rallied around her when she was ill and she attracted so much new attention. I'm sure her new resurrection persona will come with a large dose of reality checking. Most of her old followers already jumped ship with her new age stuff and left her to it. Those who are just discovering her won't give her as much of a break.

God I wish I knew how to use Reddit 😩 She does follow a few anti vaxx accounts on Instagram though!

If your joints are hurting from turning people you are not doing it right. Big patient or not there are techniques and equipment available to ensure safe moving and handling for both patient and staff.

ICU nurse here. Whilst I agree with what you say and in an ideal world, every turn or manoeuvre would be done with enough people and equipment, at times we were so understaffed and with such low resources that we had no choice but to turn patients without the appropriate amount of people. Bariatric patients do put a larger strain on nursing staff due to requiring more nurses to turn (up to 6 staff at a time) and sadly, more often than not, we would have to suck it up and do it with less staff and risk hurting ourselves as otherwise the patient would suffer.
