This is not what I was expecting. Too much recent stuff. Not enough of the og's and their chaos moments. And not enough Steph and Dom being drunk.

it’s been a really odd format tbh. too many of the current cast (so people we see anyway), tiny snippets of shows but somehow about ten minutes on line of duty, no real classic moments and nowhere near enough of the ogs.
i get it’s probably a tricky show to do a best of but i would have immediately cut any clips of the current cast and focused on the people we don’t see anymore. and then maybe just break it down to big tv moments or funniest moments.
it is strange watching them react to early stages of covid though.

we saw just as much of giles/mary, jenny/lee, pete/sophie and ellie/izzy as we do in a “normal” episode, so what was the point?!
only the briefest glimpse of the family with the german stepdad and silent boyfriend too (i will butcher their surname if i try and spell it
) - and why so much time on bloody line of duty?!

I turned over after 15 minutes. I actually thought it meant they were bringing the old goggleboxes (obv not the ones who have sadly passed) back for a one off episode, not just showing repeats from 10 years ago

I absolutely LOVE the Woerdenwebers, especially Ralf. He cracks me upwe saw just as much of giles/mary, jenny/lee, pete/sophie and ellie/izzy as we do in a “normal” episode, so what was the point?!

I love watching old episodes that feature them.
They could have picked better clips, imo, for a special.
I enjoyed seeing Steph and Dom, wish they showed more of them.

Definitely was a load of shite, should've been more iconic moments than mostly the news.
Where was Musharaf (sp?) doing his speech in Educating Yorkshire for example.
Steph and Dom basically weren't in it and that's a damn disgrace.

i think i would have preferred just a “first five years of googlebox”. covering the queen’s funeral, harry and megan, covid etc just achieved nothing, we’ve only just watched it.
i did like seeing some of the original seating set-ups though in peoples’ previous houses!

lee looked SO YOUNG in the earlier clips! i did a double take at one of them (where, like you say, he was also wearing a shirt and cosy cardigan
) - also seeing how young the siddiqui boys were in the original house too.there was some really strange choices. the haunting of hill house was also an odd one. you’d think (like mentioned above) they would have gone for big viral moments - so the lizard on planet earth made sense but also then maybe some big reality tv moments or epic soap ones. it could have been so much better!

Is it worth a watch, gogglebox family? I loved Steph and Dom. I remember posting on IG about it being back years ago when they were still on it and they liked my post and commented with a heart! I was so pumped for months!
