I caught some of the breakfast show today, the male presenter looked like a Thunderbirds puppet, very stiff, & Isabel just talked over everyone.
It's not the worst breakfast tv show, when Anne Diamond's on it's better.

The male presenter is Stephen Dixon. I for one think he’s brilliant. He has great empathy and is very caring and calm. Such a lovely man If ant sad or traumatic news comes in, he can handle it with great reverence

I'd take Brooks over Malone, Butterworth or Gaunt but he is on a bit too often for someone without much journalistic/political expertise. Guessing it's easy exposure.

I reckon Gaunt is done with them but I've noticed that Abi Roberts has seemingly been dragged down with him even though she was a popular panelist. Not my cup of tea (her Twitter timeline is interesting to say the least) but shame if she was collateral damage from one of his tantrums. Then again, she & TalkRadio seemingly parted ways a while ago after a few months of regular appearances there.

Wonder what happened to Calvin Robinson's new show.

Adam Brooks again 🙄 🤷🏻‍♂️ hasn't he got s pub to be running? Lol

I dislike Brooks. He speaks highly of Karol Sikora who openly years ago called for the NHS to be made private. He moans on Twitter about innocent Russians being penalised when if the innocent Russians got shut of Putin sanctions would be over. He's done tweets about not mentioning covid figures no more but then a few days later gone on to mention them. He's pretty thin skinned too when someone doesn't like him so either complains at bot accounts or quotes a tweet he doesn't like that's been sent to him, knowing his followers will pile in on the person on his behalf.

I don't know if I've ever listened to Brooks, but he certainly looks like the kind of bloke who would annoy me. Sometimes you just know, don't you?

Not seeing Elizabeth I on Mark much now but she’s been replaced by the other dreg Rebecca. She is so thirsty, obtuse and seems to have some reverse body dysmorphia going on 🥴 scraping the barrel.

I love Eamonn, but I do have a great fondness for Stephen as well. He comes across as such a nice man.

Eamonn Holmes is alright - lots of people like his down-to-earth tell-it-like-it-is mannerisms with a touch of the Ulster sense of humour. It works for me, as for many others. It doesn't mean you have to agree with everything he says!

Totally agree re Eamonn. Helps that my boyfriend is also from Northern Ireland and so I automatically have a great affinity for the people and the fantastic humour they have. I liked Eamonn even before meeting my boyfriend though. A great broadcaster who can turn his hand to anything and who seems a lovely man too, with no time for bullshit.

Must admit I quite like Mark Dolan. Also Colin Brazier.

Well apart from the time he was warned by OFCOM about spreading weird conspiracy theories about mobile-phone masts of course. Apart from that 'no bullshit'.
But I remember watching that and he never actually said masts were dodgy at all. He only was saying about people being free to question the narrative.

Oh and by the way, since Dan Wootton helped bring Stunning Brave Phil down a peg or two, and a lot of people now have heard about Phil's sheningans, i say credit where it is due, and I actually quite enjoy his show when I get to watch, depending on who he has on.

He’s mates with Jay Rutland who is married to Tamara Ecclestone and therefore probably has a foot in to people in the media who can open doors for him. All used to hang out at the Royal Oak also know as the Royal Coke so make your own conclusions from that …

Smashing a much more established rival channel. I have noticed lately as well the amount of ITV adverts that advertise the channel as the place of independent news. Terrestrial channels never advertise their news shows probably because we know when they are on. Adverts are used to advertise their soaps, documentaries and some products. I think ITV are worried at the increase in competition for news and opinions.

I don't think beating Beth Rigby is that big of an achievement  . But does go to show the launch figures are pretty meaningless, what counts is getting regular daily viewers. I watched Dan last night, very anti Keir but does somewhat balance out the anti Tory stuff.

Anybody else watch the morning show with Stephen and Anne? I quite like Stephen. Have done since his days with Sky News.

I do, I find Stephen such a lovely man, he always replies to me on social media. We both have a tuxedo cat. I used to love it when he did his live session on Instagram. He doesn’t do them now he’s loved up and I’m so happy for him. I do hope we get a glimpse of his wedding (I’m nosy) On a professional point of view. I find him to have respect and empathy to those who he interviews and he seems to be very friendly to all around him. A good friend to have

Anyone watch/listen to Mark Steyn? I only started listening/watching his show the last few shows. What is all the Covid Vax injury stuff? I am surprised he's allowed to air all that on GB News.

From reading Mark Steyn's CV and knowing how some of the more crazy GB News fans on Twitter think he's the best thing since sliced bread, I think he's probably the closest they have to far right. I hate when that term is thrown about to describe any conservative presenter but something about him doesn't sit right with me.

It seems to be the path they are going down now. Very sad as I wished they would focus on the here and now. It has lost some balance.

I actually don't mind GB News, they have some good presenters. The problem is, when you start having a presenter focus solely the Vax injury stuff, it is a real shame.

I can understand vax injuries and they are incredibly sad. However, he makes it seem as though every other person has been vaccine injured.

Why not also point out the deaths from Covid, such as the myriad of healthcare workers who died from Covid, including younger healthcare workers?
