To be fair, Stacey isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, and neither is Gavin, so the way they speak is very clunky and true to their characters.

Not as bad as that though it is dire! Stacey sounds OK because she's essentially playing herself. Doesn't need to put in much work there. Every character she plays sounds the same. Gavin and Stacey are the weaker actors/characters of the whole cast, which is mad when you think it's centred around their love story. The supporting characters are the true stars of the show.

As everyone has said, Gavin and stacey are both the least interesting characters in the show, who are people's favourites? mine are dawn and pete, so many hilarious scenes with them, that one in the restaurant with that young guy for the threesome or whatever it was followed by pam and mick

We started a rewatch and literally every time Pam says something we laugh out loud...sometimes from what she's said, sometimes from Mick's response

always tickles me that you can just about hear smithy saying, "alright Ed-lar!" when pete has to bring his mother to the shipmans, when we don't even know if they've met before
