Gobalot. You are sending tiny letter sized items. It's a piece of piss to send abroad. I own an Etsy and at Christmas had over 200 items (items not leaflet sized prints - bulky ones that were difficult to carry) to send in just one week, some abroad AFTER Brexit. They all got there despite Christmas+Pandemic+Brexit, why can't you send a card to Australia again?

You need to stay up all night packing to get it finished. It's your JOB to pack these all ASAP and get them sent.

If there's other people involved in the business, there is absolutely no bleeping excuse to be delayed. I hope she's on her own, I'd accept that packing 900 orders alone is a bit hard. But given Jewniper Jane is probably helping out, not really good enough.

at the cost she’s selling her tit at, she should be offering free international shipping, include little extras AND write handwritten notes.

ETA: realistically she shouldn’t have any issues shipping outside the UK/EU. I can’t imagine Brexit affected paper post going to the US or Australia. It’s not like she’s shipping cheese or wine or wool sweaters.

a) Guilt about her being overwhelmed
b) Concern about her professionalism after those wishy washy postage comments and conflicting info on the website
c) Disgust after her outbursts and the way she speaks to customers

Okay so presuming you bulk load labels and packing slips into your label make and have them ready printed, grabbing stuff out of the storage boxes and putting then in a box with the pink stuff and a thank you card should take under a minute, lets give her 3 minutes for each order to be super generous. Because if your labels are reprinted its literally just packing and sealing, and some orders are more complex and others are simple so its an average.
900 orders x 3 minutes = 2,700 minutes.
Lets give her half an hour to set up and print all her labels and packing slips a day and a half hour lunch, so lets say she starts at 9 and finishes at 6 that gives her 8 hours just on the packing.
8 hours / 3 mins = 160 orders.
Janes there, lets give Jane a shorter day and say she can only do 100 orders. So 260 orders a day between them, so all orders should be packed and sent within 4 days... has she given herself a dispatch window as cant see it mentioned on the site.

some tips then:

- Cap your order queue.
- Make sure you have a clear 'processing time' (so 2-3 days for dispatch then delivery on top)
- work long days... sorry but its true!

Ffs, i practically feel my cancer creeping back just by reading all her shenanigans (soz i joke to cope) I can't even imagine how it must feel like to earn that much but to have such a negative and miserable life. Like imagine having the money to renovate your kitchen after a week's worth of selling tit, but then to just eat crap and not even cook in your new kitchen? I know that part of the charm and enjoyment of ordering from a small business is that you 'know' the owner - you see behind the scenes, it feels more personal etc. However, I don't know any small businesses (and I follow a lot from my local area that I have discovered due to covid) who constantly talk about being overwhelmed and stressed?

In the run up to Christmas a lot of businesses share all their orders going out, or show themselves pulling all nighters etc but it's never with such a negative angle as Gabby's posts. It's such a bad look - bad PR and just bad business.

She wants the best of both worlds - she wants to use her YT 'status' to get more orders and moan, but then also doesn't want to have much to do with YT and wants to focus on her 'bizniz'. If she really wanted to work hard then she'd probably have made the scary decision to dump YT and just put all her energy into JM, but she knows her business is not strong enough on its own.

It's also weird that for a business that had been in the works for 'tew years', she had absolutely none of this sorted? Say you got the bulk of designs done, and your company registered or whatever. What else did she do for those two years? She could have easily got international/brexit stuff sorted - or hired someone to help her with it?

And if she expected a large amount of orders, she should have a plan in place to be able to deal with that. When branching out on your own and becoming self employed, you need to consider every scenario and how you can deal with it.
