So I just read a brief article about UK copyright law and unless she paid for some sort of license to use the lyrics or words from HP, she's breaking the law.

Does that seem correct to you all? I would think so.

You are correct, even fan art counts as infringement to WB, if you are selling anything HP related it's illegal and there has been a number of shops and Instagrams shut down lately. They do a sweep every few months it seems to crack down on the copyright.
