I feel very concerned that this is how some women perceive GPs.

I think it's important to note for everyone that if you doubt your diagnosis or feel you are not being listened to change your GP and voice your concerns with your new GP or practice manager.

Also apologies for messing up the flow of the thread for the second time :censored:
I believe you are a GP, is that correct?
Anyhow, not like me to go off topic, I’m really only here for the Gabbie gossip, but it’s understandable that you have concerns about this and defend your
profession.
I would say that my perception of GP’s and the medical profession has changed over the years. As a woman in my 40’s I won’t hesitate to ask for a second opinion if I feel I need to, and feel my relationship with them is more ‘human’ and an equal discussion can be had.
In my teens and 20’s I was terrified and intimidated by the whole experience and wouldn’t have spoken up.

Cannot WAIT for her to fail. When, lets be real... IF, she launches her "secret project" i really hope everyone lets her know how she has blates copied polly/lucy and that theyll be buying from them instead! X
I hope nobody acknowledges her launch on their socials or follows her business account 😂
Or that they acknowledge their PR gifts in 6 months time when it's irrelevant like she does with other brands

Did she really get Jane down to help her build a single wardrobe? :/ would have been cheaper to hire a “Task Rabbit” to just build the whole thing then continue to pollute the air with all the petrol it would take.
This I don't understand, it looks pretty much done so why not just push through, use some problem solving skills rather than pay someone to do a few screws. Flat pack can be frustrating but it can be done with a bit of common sense.

You can just tell if she was in a real job she wouldn't be able to complete any task, she'd be the one asking for help on EVERYTHING.

Someone mentioned she might fancy a Starbucks barista and that’s why she’s suddenly on a tip about dying her hair and doing some fake tan — it reminded me of that “guy” she was “seeing” from Starbucks? Like it was when she was really feeling herself and wearing that black leather skirt and bodysuit that made her look like a linebacker. She had a “day date” with him where she just did a full face of makeup to go sit in the Starbucks where they both normally edit. Dropped off without a word of course but any chance he’s back on the scene and that’s why she’s suddenly manic asf?
Was that the same guy whose name she put the 💍 emoji next to on her phone?

Notice the strategically placed prints on the shelf...
:ROFLMAO: plant lady (I giggle/laugh every time I read that) that is the most boring and simplest mix of letters and colors. It looks like the frame that you buy to throw away the picture and put one of your own.

wait... I'm sure Jane is there because of the cat limping, and then all of the sudden not mention of the cat? at all? She was all look a my selfie suffering for the cat, and now she could have at least post if the vet said something (I'm sure she was told the cat needs a healthier diet)
AND conveniently now Jane is slaving around now, you know, she is already there anyway

This is the last I’ll say on the matter because it’s not the point of this thread but it’s an important issue to address. Personally I’d say that the concern shouldn’t be in womens perception of GPs, the concern should be in the behaviour of some GPs that cause women to feel this way, and in the same way the focus shouldn’t be on women needing to ask for a second opinion, it should be on their health needs not being dismissed in the first place

This is how it took me 9 years to get diagnosed with endo. I endured years and years of being told I probably had IBS and maybe it was gluten bloating me. Actually I had loads of tissue grown into my bowel that had to be removed. Years of pain ignored by no fewer than 5 GPs.
I didn’t know Tiddles is a GP, in that case I’m really confused why they are seemingly refuting research that has determined what I’ve said. Happy to link to all the studies but Tiddles as a GP should be well aware of this work, quite concerning. As a medic also they should know that one lived experience is in no way statistically representative of the situation overall.
Sorry this is off topic however I will always post these things when they come up in case there are other posters who are suffering in silence like I did for so long.

This seems...ironic...

Gabby just sell your stupid flat, move back to near your mum and be done with it.

She obviously can’t do a single basic life task without her and she never does anything in Brighton. It is the biggest waste of money to pay that mortgage and decorate that flat when Jane is regularly travelling the country back and forth to help her put up pointless Ikea shelves. FFS.
