I believe you are a GP, is that correct?I feel very concerned that this is how some women perceive GPs.
I think it's important to note for everyone that if you doubt your diagnosis or feel you are not being listened to change your GP and voice your concerns with your new GP or practice manager.

Anyhow, not like me to go off topic, I’m really only here for the Gabbie gossip, but it’s understandable that you have concerns about this and defend your
profession.
I would say that my perception of GP’s and the medical profession has changed over the years. As a woman in my 40’s I won’t hesitate to ask for a second opinion if I feel I need to, and feel my relationship with them is more ‘human’ and an equal discussion can be had.
In my teens and 20’s I was terrified and intimidated by the whole experience and wouldn’t have spoken up.
