When I first started watching Freya 3+ years ago she would talk about getting married one day and be absolutely giddy about it. She often did Q&A's where she would hint at getting a ring like an engagement was imminent. Whenever they went on a weekend away etc. she would always say things like 'Maybe Tommy has a surprise up his sleeve - watch this space' etc. like she thought for sure she was getting a ring. That never happened and nowadays she's saying she doesn't know if Tom is the marrying type. Meanwhile, she still wants to get married - she's been clear about this. I hope she doesn't end up very disappointed by this guy. She's been with him since she was quite young, and has always talked about getting married/having kids, but now even she's starting to realise that maybe he's not the type to commit.

I've also noticed that he seems a bit disinterested in her now. In those older vlogs, you could always tell that he was into her -at least physically (I'm not sure he's ever been all that interested in what she's had to say!) Lately, though, it seems like he's checked out a bit. I haven't watched the most recent vlog that's being discussed here, but in a few recent vlogs you can tell he's not even listening to what she's saying - he's just got his head stuck in his phone the whole time. I often find his behaviour quite rude.

I do think that he's maybe just fed up of being in the vlogs. He always seemed to be OK with it a few years back, but maybe his friends have been taking the piss or whatever, but I also do think there's a bigger issue at play with the marriage thing/separate lives/taking his mum on holiday and leaving Freya behind etc.


ETA: Contradicting myself now, but I went back to the start of this thread and back then I was saying that Freya was not fussed about getting married. Haha. I'm sure I remember her saying recently that she would get married but she's not sure if Tom is the marrying type. She also definitely hinted at getting a ring way back when I first watched her. Maybe they are just changing their minds on this stuff all the time!

When she had a big birthday I think she mentioned in a vlog she would like kids etc so I do think she wants to get married she's just saying the opposite now to protect herself.
 
Only just caught up on the pumpkin patch vlog I found parts of it with tom in it a bit unpleasant to watch tbh, she had obviously been looking forward to that day but he seemed like he couldn't be arsed like it was all a big effort if he doesn't like her job or want to be filmed fine but it's still her job and he should be supportive. I find in vlogs she talks more and more about spending time alone making meals for just herself etc. Is the dog her only companion she never talks about spending time with family or friends. I feel sad for her really her life seems to consist of shopping and spending her time alone in the cinema room.

I think her family live further north - Leeds? Being from a military family she probably wanted to settle down and make a "home." Which might explain why she is going so over the top buying stuff, now they have bought and started doing up their own home after renting previously.
I'd really appreciate the cooking she does and plans for a cosy night in if I was a bloke. Not sure if Tom does. They used to be quite lovely dovey last year but he always seems to be out/away/upstairs in his office on the vlogs now.

She said all her family call her it but that would be really odd in my family/friend group!

Also it was 2013 that she was going by Lauren Freya online (the old language student video someone found, here's a screenshot). So she must have changed it to Freya in her 20s, usually if someone's friends adopt their chosen name it's from when they were a child/teens.

Where does Farrington come from then?
 
In someways I find it a bit strange on her hauls when she actually uys things such as a mug or tree decoration with an "F" rather than an "L" but then again Freya is part of her name and people do go by their middle name sometimes. Also I suppose in the same way that some people who have a name such as Rebecca or Elizabeth then use "B" or "L' as the short forms as their initial on items such as those instead.

Unless she buys an L too and takes the F back after showing it?!

Tbf a lot of them are still doing shein hauls I saw one the other day her subbies
Called her out in the comments about the documentary her response was oh I haven't seen it but a lot of big fashion companies run their buisness in the same way they don't care as long as the money is rolling in
 
Finally got around to watching the 'Pumpkin Patch' vlog and I have to say I don't think Tom was much worse than he usually is - he was a bit grumpier maybe because he had a hangover. He did give her a few 'Why are you even talking about this' looks in the car and you could tell he was annoyed with her in the 'Coke' part of the video where he was a bit snappy. I can imagine the way she waffles on is very annoying if you have a hangover - and even if you don't! She was going on and on about his choice of drink just so she'd have something to film. Why not just put the camera down and talk about something else?Not defending Tom as I've never been a fan of his. He comes across as quite rude and I know he's not my type of person. I would hope that he's a lot nicer and more engaged in their daily lives - but I'm not sure about that. I just think this is how he is.

If he doesn't want to be filmed, then she should just leave him out of her vlogs. She could have made that vlog shorter -say 25 minutes instead of 40 - and cut out all the chat about Tom's choice of drink and the cookie chat in the car. Then he would barely feature in the vlog at all - he'd just be in the background, which I think maybe he'd prefer!
