I think there was some game playing yesterday because 3 Hills felt threatened 🤔 Emma marked them down on cleanliness for a tiny mark on the bedding yet when the same comment was made about her cushions today she brushed it off. There was a lot of discussion about hash browns in the full English breakfast too yet 3 Hills served hash browns & it wasn’t even mentioned! The first couple & Emma also made a big fuss about the price & whether The Lion (forget it’s name) offered value for money yet she charged the same & I couldn’t really see what extras she added to justify her point. Really not keen on the first couple or Emma this week, they don’t make sense…or perhaps the editing has gone haywire 🤷🏻‍♀️

I quite enjoy reading the negative reviews on trip advisor before watching the show (sad I know) the lion and Swan (the two young girls) tend to take a more direct approach "email us and we will try to help/solve issues " today's, the 3 hills take a very much passive aggressive approach of "we have multiple awards so you're wrong" . With their names being so similar I thought it was the younger one but in fact it was older one.

Totally agree, and how does she know the mark didn’t come from her case/make up etc? She didn’t seem to notice it until night time so it seems unfair to flag it as something the hotel had of hadn’t done…especially when she said about her “handmade cushion cover” that unless someone spilt red wine on it then she wouldn’t change it!

It’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance and I think all those awards have pushed them into arrogance! It was the dark haired girl from the Lion and Swan’s face 😂
 
I dunno, I’d be quite happy if someone told me I was too gorgeous to be a pot washer 😂

The first place was meh. Tuesday’s was nice and the two girls who run it are lovely and super professional, I couldn’t believe they’re only 21 and 22. Emily’s place was lovely but the snobbery is absolutely staring out of her. I don’t care how many awards they’ve won, her attitude stinks.

As usual we’ve not been given all the information. The venue comprises three family suites at @ £142 per night to include the continental breakfast.

Dragon's View room sleeps 6.
The Gateway and the Forest sleeps 5.
The Library and Potions Room sleeps 5.

Agree what you say about the theme being half-hearted but for a family with two or three kids it’s really good value for money and kids won’t care less about a speck of dust and poor lighting.
 
Emma made my blood boil! She was SO unbending in her views. When she justified her underpayment at The Lion & Swan because the room wasn’t perfect, she was talking about personal preference in that she wanted a kettle. I don’t think anything would’ve been perfect for her, she was a truly awful individual! For someone who was so particular it was bizarre she was happy to pay £110 to sleep on a sofa bed wedged between two walls 🤯 I also feel the first couple (winners) & Emma ganged up a bit on the others. For me this week the people who came out of the show well were Darren, Jamie & the two girls who were all so gracious despite the game playing!

Yep, and that’s pretty much the general consensus round social media, we cannot all be wrong .. Emma has a real talent, she’s passive aggressive AND aggressive, quite a feat😉
 
So Emma, who bragged about her awards at every opportunity, said she wanted Daisy Bank to win over her own place? Not a chance! Her rooms were not massively higher priced than Daisy Bank so it’s not as if she didn’t think she had any chance of winning so wanted to make sure they did.

I was willing Darren and Jamie to point out that there were suites there for less than one of Emma’s rooms but I think they were just too nice. Or shocked.

Angie seemed a bit in awe of Emma and it definitely felt like there was something not right about it all. She’ll be looking for a gorgeous pot washer soon!
 
Why did Emma and Emily sleep in the kids bunk beds rather than the actual proper bed?
I don’t think anyone grasped that the Hotel of Wizardry price was for a suite for 6 people so worked out about 30-odd pounds a night per person rather than just between 2 people. It’s a seaside B&B geared for families and mainly kids so it’s not going to have anything easily breakable.
Loved the way she knocked £20 off for a kettle and got the hump at having £10 knocked off her price.
can’t believe the teen tiny hobbit homes won. I wonder if it would have been different if both people in the couple had to spend the night and crawl over each other to get out of bed for the toilet?
