Four In A Bed - Channel 4

Didn't like last night's place, too expensive, next to an airport and the cleaning wasn't great, a dirty bed sheet and toilet.
They need to stop spending on the 'luxuries' in the room and concentrate on the cleaning!
I've never heard of a drinks menu for breakfast, most folks just have a cup of tea or coffee, thought that comment was a bit picky when she supplied nothing!!!!

I stayed in a pleasant B& B in Chester a few years ago with a few friends and a coachload of people from Glasgow. We were rather taken aback to see quite a few of the Glaswegians, mainly the men, were drinking pints of beer with their breakfast, ah well they were on holiday I suppose.

The flavour she asked for - something and ginger (?) I think is quite niche and nothing like the peppermint she opted for 😂

Yeah a scone and a copy of the Beano is all good but if I’m paying £225 for a night, I’m looking for the basics to be well and truly covered.

I said last week that I liked it when they all got on and played fair, but I am looking forward to payment day tonight 😂

I’ve enjoyed the past few days on More 4

Some quirky characters:
Mon (I think): Chap from London who - one day - is too hungover to go to breakfast and - another day - storms off after dinner, having been easily offended

Tues (I think): Former rocker/Bob Harris look-a-like. Claims to be incredibly easy going and above any gameplaying, but ends up being the week’s biggest gameplayer

Wed: A flamboyant and conniving chap from Greenwich - your archetypical washed up actor (with added fake tears during feedback)

Today: Plug egg 🎩 man, who cocks up the eggs on his day (warning: features some sickening, arrogant newly weds 😣)

However, little will match the early series of Three in a Bed, which feel so uncensored by today’s standards

There was only really going to be one winner last night really. I get the feeling though that the dad would have underpaid and found fault anywhere though

Father and son were definitely game players. A shame really because their place would’ve won without their underpayments.
I couldn’t believe the last pair were moaning about their underpayments when, percentage wise, they took far more off the ladies accommodation. £40 for a nights stay. Ridiculous.

Yeah their reaction was strange given the faults that were found - you can’t take 25% off one room because the TV wouldn’t work and the small space above the window wasn’t painted properly and then moan when someone takes money off for something as important as cleanliness!

I didn’t like them, they were sly! They made such a fuss of the ‘filthy’ toilet 🤨 I saw on the FB forum someone likened the son to Breaking Bad’s Jesse & then I couldn’t unsee it 🤣 I don’t think the second place should even have been in the competition. It wasn’t a B&B & how they got anything above 0 for hosting & breakfast is a mystery to me as they offered neither!!!

I think it’s OK to have different kinds of accommodations on the show, they’ve removed the B&B reference from the intro, they now say “four holiday hosts” By all accounts they’re getting difficulties in recruiting traditional B&Bs … who can blame them after what we’ve seen happen on the show 😳

I were on the show I would score zero for breakfast and zero for hosting. I’m not saying this to sound vindictive, whoever owns the place should just accept it as it’s true, the aim of the show is to take advantage of the free nationwide advertising …. the area and other facilities of the venue will hopefully attract new guests. People seeking out this type of a accommodation know there will be no breakfast or hosting, that’s what they want, a private flat at a decent price. That said I was astonished that no basic checking had been done, blew away the wonderful marketing opportunity.
