Totally get what you are saying about America being a big and densely populated country but with the greateat of respect....whilst it might not seem a big number to Americans, there's a whole global audience for F1, there's already 2 being held there and big countries like Australia and Canada, who have historically been more interested in the sport only have 1.View attachment 1161070 q
@JustPeachy! I only just saw it
IndyCar is American but Indy and F1 aren't the same thing kinda like how there is a European basketball league but it's not the NBA so there's still need to be fulfilled. Europe isn't losing all their F1 races - there's still nine as of this year (although that will probably change as the sport becomes more global in general).
I've come to the conclusion it's different perspectives that causing such conversation on f1twt. People saying 3 in one country is too much but then to Americans with how big the country is that doesn't sound like a crazy number. Europe is so much better connected even beyond borders when traveling from one part of the US to another can be hassle. I mentioned it earlier but COTA is the nearest race and within the state I'm in and that's still 3 to 4 hours of travel time.
All this to say, I don't even want more races in the US simply because I have a feeling my city would probably be on the short list and with all the events we already have scheduled here, I can't imagine having all the traffic, delays, and chaos a race would cause.
I mean, saying all that, I'll happily take some of the more controversial GPs off the schedule and replace them with anywhere else but we all know cash is king so that ain't gonna happen.
