The rules have always been there. France were going to enforce them a few years back. However in the end their didn’t. Fifa is unlikely to enforce for individual disputes but over this I think they might try because it could have a major effect on the World Cup and they would like to remain top dog.Being banned for refusing to play for your national team would open a whole new can of worms.
Surely there's rules that a player cant be forced to play without fear of punishment. As to me thats a human rights violation
Fifa will not want to be seen as not being able to enforce their own rules. When have Fifa ever been reasonable ?
