I agree Germany can be beaten but I am not that convinced it will happen. The hype of playing Scotland seemed to hit the players last week - how will six days of hype of playing Germany at Wembley get to them. France wouldn’t have got the same hype as England have never had an iconic match with them in the way we have had with Germany plus people would have been less optimistic about winning.

I think most of them could handle it through social media adds a new challenging dimension.

Imagine if Spain go to penalties and Morata causes them to go out. He already looks look he is terrified of playing.

There is more chance of Kate Middleton playing in central midfield for England than VAR not being used in the Premier League next season.

England are on the easier side of the draw and if they get past Germany, they should be favourites to make the semi final at least. As an Irish person, this does not make me very happy 😆 Plus if UEFA really had a preferred finalist in mind, it would be the home team going all the way to the final at Wembley. There are no conspiracy theories though!

The BBC now posting a stats predictor which bizarrely gives England a 54% chance of beating Germany but still says Germany have a better chance of winning the tournament.

Spain getting a 5-0 somehow means their third likely to win ahead of teams that have looked better like the Netherlands and Italy is a bold prediction. Maybe it will pay off but I am skeptical. Spain are in the hard half of the draw anyway.

The BBC should stop posting these stat predictors really.

I imagine it is because Spain have actually been excellent for the last 18 months and not based on a one-off game. Spain will probably be better against better teams instead of teams sitting in. They beat Germany 6-0 in the Nations League a few months ago as they could pick them apart way easier than the likes of Sweden sitting 10 men in the box.

We're also missing the elite WAG at this tournament as there's no Gerard Pique. I miss Shakira at the games :(

Spain since they won in 2012 have nearly always been excellent outside of tounaments but haven't Managed to win a knockout match at the last three Big tournaments. I can see them beating Croatia but not sure they will get pass most likely France in Quarters or Belgium, Portugal or Italy in the semi.
