I've spent many years perfecting living outdoors for short periods. Anything with gortex as a outer layer is great. Water proof but let's air out. Gortex is actually PTFE. The tape you use to fix leaks.
Gortex in boots is handy, but my feet can still sweat. Never have all your stuff on unloading or setting off.
My best advice is enjoy the uncomfortable for the reason you are doing it.
When I'm overnights I do take dry clothes and wet clothes.

Remember going into the record shop and buying that the day it came out. Great record shop, had 4 arcade machines out the back . Bubble bobble, wonder boy, games got changed over sometimes. They'd play our record's to the shop though.

Yes, easy to see why Mr Laz confused it for Venice. Given we lived literally round the corner from it 🍉 you’d think he’d notice.

I've badly squiggled some squigs. No bus to get in the shot. But can we talk about £5.25 for a pint of lager (I know, I was a couple down and didn't fancy White Rat) on Smithdown?!

And PTFE is the generic name for Teflon.

The ASRS is probably a good place to start, it's what my GP got me to fill in (I'm still awaiting assessment). My advice would also be to start collating whatever 'evidence' from childhood you can as whatever route you take, they will need to see consistency of symptoms both throughout life and across different areas (work/study/social/family etc).

There's a friends/family questionnaire which might be helpful to look at, but also have a think about anything you might have kicking around documenting your childhood (school reports, home videos etc.). If you have a parent/caregiver who you can speak to about it and who you think might support you seeking a diagnosis then definitely do so because this will make finding the childhood evidence a lot easier!

Here's a link to the NICE guidelines too in case that's helpful! Good luck!

ETA I should be clear that it's not all about childhood symptoms, how you are impacted now is just as important! It's just that diagnosing adults can sometimes be difficult because it can be difficult to get a full history, so best to provide as much ammo as possible!

I did mine without the family part, YH spoke to them instead so if you don’t have family you can trust with it it still can be done.

ditto! At one point my referral was going through a private provider and they let a friend who I've known since I was 16 complete the friend/family survey. Now I'm going back through the trust (for now, lol) and they accepted a statement written by my OH. Whatever the situation, there will be a way through!
 
So I’ve been booted from an EDS support group for saying my condition is rare and genetic. It isn’t. Apparently some bloke in America knows better than the professor who diagnosed me. It wasn’t exactly fight of the century (or day*) but I did say I was taking my specialists word over his (said bloke not checking out via basic googling) simply because he said at the start he is the specialist and there’s basically no one higher in THAT food chain and HE checks out. It got many likes and, even more comments so they’ve booted me. All because they posted saying it’s REALLY common, not rare at all and doesn’t need a genetics marker - its a genetic illness says I as my specialist says no marker no EDS. BOOO medical misinformation says them, off da page you go.

I am devastated. Not.

*Fight of the day was the person who grabbed. Grabbed I tell you the LAST of the mac and cheese fried balls.
I will hunt you down. I know exactly who you are and you ARE on here 👀 They’re MINE ALL MINE. I maybe paranoid but that doesn’t mean I’m not right... they never sold out before I put em on here.. it all adds up!!

I am devastated about the mac and cheese balls but glad to see things have moved on here so I don’t need to worry about scary nightmares anymore ...

You can stick nearly a quid on that for Hobo in Baltic. It’s a tiny wee dive bar, if you haven’t been - I can’t believe what they’re charging in there these days. It’s one of my favourite places in town, but still…

Thanks, ninnies, I'll call my medical insurers later and see what they say - it may be that they boot me back to the GP in which case I'll call them.
