Father of Daughters #63 He uses Instagram like he’s a pensioner on Facebook

The service he's advertising with the 3D renderings etc is £1300 per room, which includes up to 3 hours' worth of amendments. The design is valid for 3 months and "if work is carried out after or must be re-worked then the client may be liable to pay the design fee in full again."

As an alternative (as well as free/cheap apps that do basic stuff), if DIY/refurb is "your thing" you can purchase a whole home design software package that can do the lot - architectural plans, dimensions, materials list, cabintery, furniture, colours, fabrics, renderings etc. - for significantly less than the price of one room by this company. Then you get complete control with no time constraints and add-on costs, though there is obviously a learning curve. It's perfect in the situation Simon talks about where one person likes the technical stuff and one person is more into visuals.

As an aside, I wouldn't deal with a design company that thinks white text on bright red is a good choice on a web page. My eyes!

They’ve never done hobbies or tutoring or even many activities with the kids have they? Apart from gifted holiday clubs & being plugged into tablets. The only kid that has a hobby was the one that got to attend private school in the hey day 🙁
I think they did acting/voice/singing extracurriculars. I’m fairly certain they’ve performed in eisteddfods.

That might be for the child who wants to become an actress. I do remember seeing a story of one daughter playing field hockey recently but not when they were younger.

Don't think they've mentioned anything to do with Wales before.

Can you guys post pictures of the tiles.

Can we not talk about the tiles? Do they look uneven? Would you not stub your toe off them? I think they would look awful with the mustard paint on the units, Clemmie has a vision and a way of putting things together!
Hey definitely look uneven, I wouldn’t want to walk on them, I think you’d be constantly stubbing your toes. Awful choice with the colour of units too

So the vision is basically another room of storage cupboards, shelves and drawers for them to to ram full with their excessive stuff.

Nobody needs £1300 worth of design consultancy work to put a room like this together 🤣

I agree that the tiles don't match the rest of the room at all. Perhaps it will look better in "real life" when it's done?

What is “full deign” (pt. 4) when it’s at home? Could no one have at least spell checked this word salad at the very least given the fees charged? I mean it probably should have passed the eyes of a lawyer and toddler too (“any products recommended within a design should where possible be purchased” - no tit Sherlock, my two year old wouldn’t even feel the need to point that out.

The wording's so clunky, isn't it? It looks like there's a hard return where there shouldn't be, and it should read "Any products recommended within a design should where possible be purchased through Naked Walls and if not then the management fee in some cases will be the client’s responsibility to settle."

So if you buy their full design service and they recommend products, you can't just go off and buy them separately yourself or there's a fee to pay? That's how I interpret it anyway. I have no idea if that's normal in this kind of arrangement!

When we moved into our house, we inherited an ugly yellow kitchen with yellow walls. I cannot state just what an awful colour it is. Sorry to any yellow lovers, but it's just grim, grim, grim. And don't even get me started on those floor tiles.
