So interesting since Elemis were bought by loccitaine they are using influenzas - previously they were so anti it and actually their head of training used to moan on her insta about all these YT unqualified experts…. Wonder if she’s deleted the posts?

Interesting info. Thanks for sharing. Both Elemis and L'Occitane were contacted during her racism scandal. Both were going to look into it and yet both are happy to work with her. She is like Teflon, none of her ugliness sticks. Other influencers like Victoria, Freddy and especially Lydia, get hounded but everyone is always ready to give Josie a free pass. Racism... bullying and threatening people online... attempting to dox a critical subscriber... and of course that Zimmermann scam with mummy...

Maybe QVC and QVCUK should be contacted. I think they sell on there and in boots. Elemis used to be only in salons and Selfridges

I adore that balm just used it tonight in fact.. (love the smell) , dior make a nice balm too
 
Ok I’m new here…. And having watched her YouTube for almost a solid day in pure glee at how outrageously twee and false she is (I went back to 2020 blogs to compare!), then discovering she has a thriving thread here (as if I’d ever doubted it!) I have some questions!
1. Has her partner got asbergers / mild asd? Genuine question and no slander intended. Reminds me a lot of a relative of mine who talks about the same subject / repeats himself / goes into too much unnecessary detail - the new parasol in a latest blog being an example. And the OOTD in Mallorca about the espadrilles.
2. The wedding - I see she has a separate wedding YouTube but hasn’t uploaded for years?! Why the delay, pray tell!
3. The racism scandal?!

What happened to her " game changer " Beauty and Me ? I think that was what her last peaurrrrrfect skin care. Personally I skip over any and all face tutorials

Hi there and welcome to the thread.

She is as false and fake as it gets. Kudos to you for immediately spotting it. Many fall for her false facade. I liked her back in the day when I first watched a how-to video but was soon irritated by her. I later learned that she often straight out copied videos from smaller YouTubers. One video was so blatantly obvious that she had to make that video private. It was an exact copy of The Rachel Review. She also copied other videos from this woman and was called out. Rachel even added © to some of her videos because of Josie.

1. I don't know if the partner is on the spectrum. He certainly could have some traits/mild ASD.. He is oblivious to non-verbal cues. I find him annoying but once I realised how she deliberately sets him up, I often pity him, though still not a fan. When she's in desperate need of her narcissistic supply, she has a habit of baiting him and showing his response in the worst possible way, then revels in the attention from the granny squad who are quick to defend her. Other deluded fans think they are just the perfect little couple. She tried to set him up last year by hiding mince pies so he wouldn't eat them (though she chomps everything stodgy in sight) but had several people message him on IG telling him what she did and where she hid the mince pies. She was very taken aback when he mentioned it in a video. Not impressed that it put her in a bad light and not him. Seems at least some subscribers are onto her manipulations.

2. The wedding channel fizzled out. She wanted to use it to shill affiliate links off her engagement and probably hoped to grab some wedding freebies. She just seemed to talk down to the person she hosted it with. I only watched a couple of vids but only after the channel had already faded. I'll add a few screenshots from a video below.

3. For the racism please check her Wiki (pink button top of page) I need to still add more to the Wiki about her racism. It was not just about her initial tweets but also about how she handled things afterwards, Denied, threatened, gaslighted, and played the victim. Her manipulations are well documented in thread #5 with many screenshots of comments and her replies. It was before I discovered TL so I read it afterwards but a new account Sashafierce suddenly appeared on Twitter to staunchly defend Josie. Some thought it was Charlie or his sister, but I think it was Josie. Her surname is Fear which is very close to fierce. Even here on TL many use a play on their names and add their birth year of day/month of birthday to their handle. It is human nature to do so.

I buy from Beauty Pie. I think their skin care products especially, are high end for a fair price. Love the Japanfusion range their cleanser and moisturiser are fab and Beauty Pie Retinol products are good.
I’ve also bought their blush, highlighter and makeup brushes and have no complaints.

Me too! Some really nice skincare products (Japan Fusion cleanser is a definite hit!), and shower and bath products also really nice. All the makeup bits I've tried have been good - especially the tinted moisturiser and the One Powder product. However, I'm not convinced it saves any money - you tend to buy more than you normally would to justify it (and some items aren't that cheap anyway) so I would say the economies argument is questionable - especially when online shops like LF and Cult Beauty often do really good offers up to 20% off everything etc. I am also massively put off by their working with JoHo and LEM too!!!

You’d also need to compare ingredients, especially their skin care ranges. I would say Beauty Pie are competitively priced when compared to other high end brands like Charlotte Tilbury, Drunk Elephant, Sarah Chapman.....
I use to buy Liz Earle’s skin care range and spent far more.

Emma Hardie’s Moringa Cleansing Balm is fantastic for removing makeup, smells like a spa and there’s only one ingredient that’s pore clogging (beeswax) but as a cleanser it’s not too bad as you’re washing it off after.
Such a good alternative to Elemis.
