The reddit thread I saw is mostly speculating Brazil caused it and is based ona tweet of a journalist claiming Niels learned it now. But now learning here that some people knew 2 weeks ago, I'd guess something must have been cooking much earlier and Brazil was either a final straw or time of firing was chosen to introduce someone new for last three races. I don't trust FIA about being logical anywah so who knows (and we know who is the problem in FIA anyway)

Also can I say at the end of this thread that I possibly agree with Jeremy about Lewis......I'd love to be wrong but I'm not sure its going to be the turnaround we all want to see. Unless of course the rumors of Merc sabotaging his car are correct. I also think Nando needs more than a Newey car to win too....a time machine would be more useful (I'm old I'm allowed to say this!!!!!!!!)

Niels Wittich is (or rather was) the race director. He apparently get fired and will be replaced for the Vegas GP.

Austin was where Max got all the penalties wasn't it and Brazil wasn't great from a race direction point of view with the rain ..... of course it all takes the heat off the GPDA letter ....
