Omg WHAT ?!?!?! 🤯

Also yes, let's replace someone who come to F1 way to early by someone else who is also not ready for f1. It will work really well i think 🙄

I feel for Logan here, i hope he has good support around him right now

Yeah, I am sad for Logan! As much as I think it is his time to go after this season, I don't like the change being done that way... I would feel less sad if it was someone I know better, like Liam. I will rely on your opinions about Colapinto's skills as I know little to zero about him, but atm I feel like Logan at least deserved a chance to kind of say goodbye in the paddock (unless he knew already)

I think it means Logan needs a spam pic session here

i was so sure it would be liam! at least that made sense - why replace a rookie with a complete rookie who is going to be replaced for next season anyway?!

i feel for logan (i feel for anyone who gets replaced mid-season). the writing was on the wall obviously but this just seems particularly mean in a way that it wouldn’t if they were bringing in someone with experience.

Did he even had FP in F1 car? He had to, right?
(As I said I don't follow him at all)

Would you have felt for Checo tho 😂

At Silverstone apparently. I’ve never even heard of him and agree with @LaBlonde it makes no sense to replace Logan with a younger rookie when JV says the reason they have done it is to maximise getting points in a tight midfield. Unless Logan mentally took such a battering he said he was struggling too much? But I can’t really see that

He comes with a lot of Argintinian sponsorship Money

i can only assume that rb refused to let them have liam (we know jv approached them this weekend right?) - but even so, even mick would be a more effective option if you’re hoping to try and build points for the end of the season ready for carlos to get there. this makes no sense to me at all. even using kimi would have had some logic to it!

He did an FP1 in Silverstone if i remember correctly.
He did 2 seasons in F3 and graduated to F2 this season and is currently p6 in the standings. I will not pretend i know him that well but i have never have this "omg he is amazing" feeling about him.
I wonder if Williams is using him to get some money back after Logan's crashes (i have no idea if he has that much sponsors behind him)

I'm really surprised they've replaced him mid season, there must be more to it. I think he's just not ready to be in F1. Also surprised its a rookie, would have made more sense to bring in a more experienced driver.
He’s cost them millions in damage and has scored one point in 36 races, if we were that bad at our jobs we wouldn’t get that many chances.

Apparently Toto didn't want Kimi to go to Williams so he didn't get "bad habits" from a team and a car very different from Mercedes.
For Mick he still have engagements in WEC (they race in COTA this weekend) so i guess he can't get out of it that easily. And if the rumours are true Doohan did a test against him at the Paul Ricard some weeks ago and it's there that Alpine choose Doohan for next year so that tell a lot about his level (if true).

Is it wrong to wish that he crashes the car at every race (and getting out ok and unhurt of course)

apparently Mick had a great result and Jack‘s manager is Flavio, alpine lost the old TP who got Mick into WEC. Wonder if Mick‘s contract didn’t allowed that F1 seat as it was not a „reserve“ driver needed seat

might have to turn into the German commentary on Friday to hear his uncles comments

that does make sense from a kimi pov - i guess i was thinking of it in terms of using someone who will actually be there next year, but it’s a fair point as he’s so young to have to adapt to two very different cars really quickly. and OUCH for mick in that case. the dream is over son 🤣

i guess with all of that AND rb potentially saying no over liam they were really short on options. it still makes little sense to me but i get it.
