This morning the scale says+2lb but I know that's food sitting in my stomach, probably salt etc. As annoying as it feels I am telling myself it will be back to normal tomorrow and not to panic.
Don't worry about it at all. I noticed when I used to weigh myself obsessively (not recommended at all) I used to put on 2-3lb during a day then would lose it again overnight.
I used to panic to but then realised it was salt, undigested food, water retention from heat in summer etc

I've been told and have read that measuring your chest, thighs, calves, waist, upper arms and neck is a more accurate reflection on fat loss as sometimes scales don't move or maybe even show a gain but you may still lose CM's/inches

I really need to do this, stupidly I am putting it off because I am afraid of what the measurements will say, even though I am only about 9lb heavier than last time I took them.

I used to starve myself all day before weigh in. Then go to toilet before weight in “just in case”. Shocking when I look back my behaviour
Same 😫 I think the majority of us who attended an evening slimming sw class did this. Only having sips of water a lot of the time to weigh as light as possible. Wearing summer clothes in winter to weigh lighter. Having someone weigh you every week deffo does something to your brain

For those using Nutracheck - can anyone help? I’m trying to select easier days for the weekend. I select the days and press save, but it doesn’t update. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?
Once you press save the green button goes grey. Come out and scroll on your food diary to the weekend and the calorie goal for the easier days should be higher.

At least that's what it does on my android. It doesn't say "saved" or "set" or anything. You have to scroll to the easier day to find it has saved it.

😊 Thank you. It’s not having it for some reason; I’ll just have to focus on the weekly total instead of the daily one, and balance it out that way.

My weigh in was at 7pm, I would have minimal to eat during the day like probably 2 eggs scrambled for breakfast then a tiny bit of chicken and fruit for lunch. No water after lunch time only tiny sips if I was desperate.

Was also obsessed with going to the toilet, or doing things to try and lose water weight like sitting in the sauna at the gym or a really intense workout.

7pm really is a stupid time to be weighing yourself, there are so many variables. I even found threads online on Mumsnet etc reading about other peoples' weigh day rituals!

Anyone else avoided creme eggs for years because they’re 9 syns? I always assumed they must be packed with calories and fat as just one will take up your entire allowance. Just enjoyed one and added it to Nutracheck and they’re only 177 calories and 6g of fat. OK so not great if you eat a six pack but perfectly fine as a treat!

I remember when they were 5 old ww points and so was a jacket potato so I just used to have a creme egg for lunch 😬

(I may have said this before I can't remember but it sticks out in my mind as one of the ways these diets encourage you to make poor choices... These two things are total nutritional opposites, nothing wrong with a creme egg but it didn't fill me up very much!)

Ours was always comparing them to avocado so it was avocado I avoided until 2021 because I assumed it must be HIDEOUS.

It's like 80 calories for half a medium one ffs lol

This was me and sometimes I’d go to a Bootcamp class beforehand

It’s just absolutely mental. If I weigh in the morning after I’ve been to the loo and before eating I weigh probably 1-2kg less than I would in the evening. It also completely depends on your cycle, what you’ve eaten, how much salt and water you’ve had. It’s sooo unhinged to make it into some kind of competition
