I will slightly disagree on that. It has been spoken by multiple islanders past season also that there is no contract and relationships are actually real. It's just that it's lucrative to be in a couple then without. I believe ekin and Davide relationship to be 100% genuine, it's just that she is not able to adjust to her stardom or lack thereof. She couldn't handle the fact, the girls in her season will become more successful than her especially Indiyah and Tasha

I think this is exactly what's happening. Ekin was supposed to be the biggest thing since Molly May. Sure it's only been a few months since she's left but we know that there is nothing big she currently has in the works. She currently only really has that makeup brand.
In comparison, Indiyah and Tasha are absolutely killing it and their engagement is insane.
Someone posted on reddit about how they feel like Indiyah is the most successful girl from that season and her stans were in shambles and were talking about how she's the richest so it doesn't matter.
When the whole chat about her having very little engagement was brought up a few months ago, they spoke about how she's not an influencer and she doesn't care about social media because she's never made a YouTube channel.
Fast forward a few weeks later, there is now a YouTube channel and suddenly she's an influencer again?
I think she's a bit confused as to where to fit in because she had these grandiose ideas that she would be getting TV gig after TV gig. I really hope she manages to find her passion somewhere

Yea I feel for Ekin - I don’t see her being as successful as Indiyah and Tasha who are killing it. I know I’ve said it before but when I think of Ekin, I just can’t help but think of the ridiculous number of bots making up her 3.2m followers and just how fake it all is. I actually feel a little sad for her. I guess she feels that it must look like she’s oh so successful when you see how many “people” are following her relative to Gemma, Indiyah and Tasha. But that just all results in terrible engagement because bots can’t like posts or buy the products you’re trying to sell! She’s the lowest engagement out of all the heavy hitters from her season.

I stopped rooting for Ekin, mainly because she lies and contradicts herself quits often. She comes across as just fake and so so cringe on social media.

none of them have really done much youtube have they? they’re not that consistent on it, indiyah has like 5 since she left, i just think she’s “good” at social media, she’s on snapchat, instagram, tik tok where she posts mini vlogs sometimes with dami, and twitter. i like ekin but i do cringe a little when i see hee tweets, idk what it is, they just remind me of things we’d say back in highschool
yeah i agree. when you’re in the public eye, keep fans engaged important, especially if you’re an influencer. and you need to do it well, wether it’s through youtube etc, i think ekin just finds it hard as influencing isn’t her thing. tasha and indiyah are early twenties? basically gen z or almost, they’re younger so it’s easier for them (not saying ekin is old btw she’s not at all)

Her tweets are very strange. But what irks me is the level of fake followers she has. Girl has like 3% engagement relative to her follower count. Whereas someone like Mollymae is way up at 18% and she was on the show way back in 2019. They just don’t compare. It’s just all a facade. Take Davide & Gemma whose follower count is so high also - you never see them blatantly buying 15k/65k followers. Both their follower numbers are slowly declining. Davide went from 2m to 1.9m and only this week to 1.8m. Similarly Gem is about to go to 1.9m - she was at 2.1 at her peak post LI. That’s natural (unless your someone like Indiyah whose count is growing and is authentic) but Ekin is keeping hers at 3.2m by continuously buying bots.indiyah and dami made a joint tik tok for all the crazy fans (me)

declining in followers as an influencer must hurt, but yh buying them is weird
i saw a tik tok (very reliable source) that was talking about ekin, and they said at the beginning, i think before LI, a lot of her followers were turkish /turkish men, and they just don’t engage with her as much which is part of the reason why her oh polly thing didn’t do well (i don’t know how it did btw) cause they wouldn’t buy it
someone also mentioned her collection was released in autumn october, but the collection was a lot of summery wear
i think her collection was nice tbh, i just wouldn’t get it cause i couldn’t buy it, and would look terrible on me

I saw something recently that basically debunked that Ekin has tonnes of fake followers because the majority of her followers also followed Davide, so couldn’t be bots. I’m not sure how true this is, but I believed this because it would be so pathetic to be flat out buying followers especially if she apparently has zero interest in being an influencer
I think she does it to save face or look more popular than she is. I don’t think it’s to make it as an influencer

She literally went up 65k over 24 hours 4 weeks ago just as she fell to 3.1m and then 2 weeks ago went up another 15k. On each occasion, nothing remarkably happened which would justify those increases other than bought followers. That’s just one example. She has an absolute ton of fake followers.

Just saw this interesting video about Ekins instagram stats, followed by a podcast discussing how her post LI career hasn’t gone to plan. I like her, don’t get me wrong, but how can everyone but her rabid stans see it? The comments are like she’s the most successful islander ever etc
