i think Liberty is my least fave islander. She’s so devoid of personality or substance yet keeps trying to establish herself as a girl boss with generic quotes. Let’s not even get into how she tries to make out she survived domestic abuse in the villa 🙄

Yes I agree re Ekin, I’m assuming it’s down to her traditional Turkish upbringing that she’s not your typical influencer type. She’d do well in something like big brother

Indiyah ALWAYS wore/wears fake lashes. I remember on one of Dami’s first Insta stories when LI was finished when they were in a villa waiting to leave Spain, he tried to put Indiyah on his stories and she was like “no way, I don’t have my lashes on. Get that phone away from me”. She wouldn’t go on his stories without her eyelashes. Fake eyelashes were/are always her thing. So her eyelure range makes sense.

Not sure what’s going on with Ekin. That tweet is bizarre. And referring to yourself in the third person 🤯🤯🤯 I kinda feel she’s a little like Paige - neither of them have a niche unlike Gemma, Tasha and Indiyah.

I really like Millie and Chloe, not Lucinda. They seem to live in standard house now not fancy live together since both are single within past year and just seem a laugh, have a work and social life. What they do isn’t lifesaving but as influencers go I much prefer their content to any other love islanders from their series and overall maybe. Only other one I still follow is Olivia bowen
 
I do like Ekin and did think she was the best character in the villa but I don’t think she comes across as herself/very natural on social media like she’s trying too much. I could be wrong but I do think her and Davide are a genuine couple but he comes across a lot more natural and genuine, same as the travel show Ekin came across quite forced

Yeah I think you are spot on... Ekin just doesn't seem comfortable in her own skin... she's beautiful but her confidence feels very forced, almost like she is trying to convince herself she is actually that confident! I think it's all an act.

I don't get the hate tbh but I also don't think she suits being an influencer as you genuinely have to have a very thick skin if you want to succeed and I think she (and Tasha) are way too soft!!

Indiyah is the winner of Season 8 in my eyes from a career point of view! She's been very savy and I don't think the negativity will affect her cause she doesn't give much of a fyck what people think to begin with. She's very self assured.

I'm really surprised she has not done better out of LI tbh. She was so iconic but it all seems to have slipped through her fingers.
I'm surprised she didn't go for something hair care related ages ago tbh.
But again who knows who will catch the public imagination 🤷‍♀️ I could never understand how Mollie Mae or gormless Tommy did so well.

Tommy’s only done well because of MM and she has good management
 
Prior to his fight with Jake Paul he was pretty much flat broke so I don't think I'd say he's done well. He had quite a lot of opportunities post Love Island (a Boohoo Man contract, a spin off with Curtis etc) but it all seemed to slip through his fingers. The only thing I'd give him is that he stayed relevant enough for rich youtubers to want to fight him but that's purely because he dates Molly.

hahah it's funny that people (men) can't grasp why Molly is popular/succesful

It's because she's consistent, she has vlogged pretty much weekly since leaving LI and was doing social media as her job before it too so when she came out she knew what she had to do and she stuck to it, I think a lot of people just want to be influencers but don't have it in them to be committed to it, they're happy to enjoy the benefits like luxury holidays and PR packages but they don't want to or don't think to put the work in and they don't have the personality to be watchable/stand out- obviously the PLT deal did big things for her and landed perfectly with her target market which helped and the fact that she has her tanning brand + deals with beauty works + PLT are EXACTLY what most girls who watch love island are into so she did have good management

A lot of ex love island girls have youtube channels which have either failed or they upload occasionally and none of them are on her level, Chloe uploads semi regularly and I find her vlogs so boring mainly bc I feel like she doesn't have the personality per say even though she is funny and was funny on LI but she just kind of films random things or Q&As and pieces them together, with Molly she's open with a lot of her life and doesn't keep anything necessarily guarded, she's been a millionaire for a while she could easily stop youtube and still have a career but she obviously enjoys it and people like seeing someone so rich do normal every day things hence why keeping up with the kardashians is popular

Tommy has been living off of her for a long time, this is literally the first successful thing he's done lol
