I agree about Davide. His engagement on Instagram is SO low unless Ekin is in the photo - much lower than Luca, Dami, Jacques. For a guy with the highest follower count at 1.9m (double Damis) you’d expect he’d be much more popular on the Instagram likes front. It’s bizarre! Hes becoming a little like Andrew in that regard having to rely on his other half to be in the pic in order to generate likes.

I think it's generally much more difficult to be a male influencer. Davide also doesn't seem to care much about social media. I don't even think he expected to get as far as he did on the show, let alone win it because it doesn't seem like he cares about much else besides gym 🙈.

However I would have expected him to be doing much better than he currently is. He doesn't post that much which obviously affects his engagement but I'm still surprised at how low it is. There hasn't even seemed to be an increase even after their show aired so I don't think the show has done much for them in terms of social media. For people with so much hype, both Ekin and Davide's engagement on IG is absolutely terrible. Believe or not, even combined, they are worse off than Luca and Dami

I just think they don't live and breath social media like a lot of the younger contestants. Like look at how much Tasha is on it!!??? And I think that's the simple reason why they aren't as successful on social media tbh.

Yea Tasha is on Instagram ALL THE TIME!! She, Dami and Indiyah in particular are all over it and makes sense why their engagement keeps going up! And ofc Luca is riding the post Gemma split “angel boy” wave!

Luca seems to be the most successful boy from the last series in terms of social media engagement and obtaining TV presenting work/appearances. I thought Davide would be the most popular boy by far but it appears not. Even his TV show with Ekin-Su hasn't boosted his profile much. If him and Ekin-Su split, I won't be surprised if his follower count falls through the floor and he fades into obscurity. Shocking I'm saying this considering Davide's popularity on Love Island.

Successful in what sense? Brand deals like with Aldi? Or with his engagement with fan accounts?

Ugh…I know you love Luca but let’s be real Lucas Instagram engagement pre split was no different to Dami and Jacques where the post didn’t involve Gemma. I’m not sure where your Luca love is coming from but you’re definitely biased!

Lifestyle influencing is just more more geared towards women. You create the impression of flawless looks and a perfect life so that young girls will buy the dresses you wear and make up and products you use just to be like you.

I'd argue that Tommy is not actually that successful. If anything he's the least successful finalist from that year. Over half of his followers are bots Link presumebly to keep up with Molly's huge numbers. Still the amount of real followers he has is pretty good for a male islander (I suspect buoyed by Molly's fans) there is no reason why he couldn't have been a fitness influencer himself and that's what he seemed to be doing for a while but he gave up on that pretty quickly and just does very occasional ads for car fresheners and the like.

His ex 'brother for life' Curtis gets a steady stream of TV gigs both by himself and with his brother. Granted Tommy isn't going to present anything but he too could do stuff like Celebrity SAS and The Challenge which pays well but he doesn't seem interested. He can't even claim to have successfully gone back to his sport like Greg or Ovie. At this point even the most generous boxing fan would say that his boxing career is a flop. He's basically frauding his way through the sport fighting people he has an unfair adventage over for little money. I used to imagine his endgame would be fighting a 'celeb' boxer but he keeps ducking Jake Paul. Honestly if not for Molly he'd be completely forgotten with no money. Either that or he'd actually have put some effort into something

I unfollowed Tasha also. Never followed Andrew , don’t see the point in him.

On a separate note, if I see another razor ad being pushed by those LI peeps 🤣 I see CEO Bish is the latest to be plugging it!

I get the impression Davide's not good with social media and also get the impression he's not really into the reality TV fame/influencer lifestyle - he probably finds it superficial which it certainly is. I think that's why he hasn't been as successful as the other boys from his series despite winning it.
