I saw some of the Diodato performance leaks from jury show and was really confused what the dancers were doing crowding around him but my god it was really wonderfully staged

The production value this year feels very low? It’s giving me 2000s vibes

The broken sun isn’t actually that noticeable! I’m sort of glad that we aren’t having long breaks between each country to turn the damn thing because some of the talking intervals felt very very forced and out of place

Bit confused on why countries have been given more than 30s to set up their stages in some cases. It definitely slows the show down - looking at that weird interval before the last performance

Switzerland wasn’t bad, I really don’t understand the hate around it. It may be a bit bland but it was well done I think. The ballads that went through were generally good quality and not totally toilet break worthy imo

Latvia was let down by their enunciation I think. The song is catchy but it was hard to make out what they were actually singing and it was meant to be English. When you have so many songs in their own languages and English songs which are understandable…it’s going to be a hard time working on one opening line being memorable

Alrighty, it‘s the jury show for semi final 2 tonight. What are our hopes and fears for this one?

I‘m pretty excited as there are only two songs I don‘t like (Azerbaijan and Montenegro)and many fast paced songs.
My fingers are crossed for Ireland to become the Switzerland of Semi 2, Czech to make it through and San Marion and/or Israel and/or Georgia to counteract the boring ballads from Semi 1.

Poland or Sweden will most likely win tonight.

  1. Finland - The Rasmus – Jezebel
  2. Israel – Michael Ben David – I.M
  3. Serbia – Konstrakta – In corpore sano
  4. Azerbaijan – Nadir Rustamli – Fade to Black
  5. Georgia – Circus Mircus – Lock Me In
  6. Malta – Emma Muscat – I Am What I Am
  7. San Marino – Achille Lauro – Stripper
  8. Australia – Sheldon Riley – Not the Same
  9. Cyprus – Andromache – Ela
  10. Ireland – Brooke – That’s Rich
  11. North Macedonia – Andrea – Circles
  12. Estonia – Stefan – Hope
  13. Romania – WRS – Llámame
  14. Poland – Ochman – River
  15. Montenegro – Vladana – Breathe
  16. Belgium – Jérémie Makiese – Miss You
  17. Sweden – Cornelia Jakobs – Hold Me Closer
  18. Czech Republic – We Are Domi – Lights Off
copy/pasted to remind myself who's in semi final 2...

So my 10 finalists would be (absolute favs bolded):
Serbia
Azerbaijan
Australia
Cyprus
Ireland
Estonia
Romania
Poland
Sweden
Czech Republic

I think it's a much more interesting line up for semi 2. I'm not fussed by Sweden but I can understand why it's so popular

Not rehearsal sorry, from last night’s jury show, don’t believe everything on Twitter!🙈 Here’s a small clip from it, I do believe that someone has posted a full version on YouTube though

STOP PRESS: I’ve found it. A blogger’s actual recording from the actual audience of the actual jury rehearsal last night.

This. On a phone. He sounds bloody AMAZING!!!

From last year to this!! I am hoping he will surprise us and bring back the “nothing but nothing but nothing but space, man” part at the end in the final but even if he doesn’t, this has to place high with the juries!
