Equestrian Influencers #28 Winter is sh..... pass it on

Gosh I got a bit emotional watching Flo’s vlog. I didn’t see that coming at all.
What a horse he has been for her. A sensible and grown-up decision but clearly a tough one.
I wonder what she will do with Star, given he’s now on his own?

I am so shocked by the news she’s sold him. She is incredibly sensible and I imagine his sale will set her up to be able to purchase her first house etc

Considering he’s gone to the same people who bought Towie I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s sold him for a bit less than he’s actually worth just to ensure he’s gone to a good home. She seems the type to put his happiness above monetary gain. She doesn’t outright say that in the video but reading between the lines, it’s there. And again, what a sensible head she’s got on her very young shoulders.

hahahah we havea regular customer where I work, mid 50's, very full of herself, wont acknowledge the women, thrusts her crotch at the men whilst talking to them.
She cam in today
H&C Biker jeans
FF bag
FF boots
HC polo Neck
HC Gillet

She looked like an utter nobber.

She wears the same thing eacht ime we see her - convinced its her 'uniform' that she believes elevates her status.

That said, I do have two FF bags and I love them, they are used and abused and not kept for show
Did you just describe Luisa Zissman? 🤣

I really hope she keeps Star! I’ve always had a soft spot for him. If I remember correctly her mum likes Star/ does a little bit with him so maybe that’s been factored in. I wonder if he’s younger than Atty too?

I’m so over the Holland and Cooper/Fairfax Favour cult. Most of the H&C stuff is overpriced polyester, cheaply made poor quality marketed as luxury. Both companies have a culty feel selling to middle aged women with no sense of individual style. Some of the stuff looks like tablecloths 😳
The H&C homeware and candles are a ridiculous price. I find some of the H&C clothing very tacky / too much bling.

So sad for Flo and a decision I never thought she would make, but what a mature and sensible decision. I have always liked now down to earth she is. I wonder how Star is with being on his own now? Wonder whether they will get a companion as it’s less financial burden than running another event horse?

Just watched Flos farewell to Atty vlog. What a mature young lady she is. I know more than a few older “influencers” that could learn a lot from her. She handled herself impeccably in what was a situation none of us would want to be in. Well done Flo, you are a credit

Agreed, no click bait, straight to the point and a sensible decision overall. Unlike some influencers who would drag the announcement out into a two part series and won't sell or lease anything out (particularly the ones that are too small for them....).

Got to laugh, Megs latest vlog, Hi Meg 👋👋👋👋, glad we could help with your content!

So can we talk about Matt and Jesses vlog yet? Everyone had chance to watch? My two main takeaways were 1. Sooo disappointed and 2. How much money do these boys have?

Haven’t watched it yet, but never understood the hate some people give to those who choose to sell, if no one sold then no one could buy! Just do your due diligence and you’re good.

Watching the dressage World Cup, it just isn’t getting better, the poor, poor horses. Riders leaning so far back it’s like they’re water skiing on the horses back, so much tension and confusion, horses legs all over the place.

Honestly this is what I thought 😂 I don't usually watch a lot of their stuff but the horse shopping series and this have been brilliant! As they're getting older the maturity and quality of their content just keeps growing with them from what I've seen! Can't wait to see what they've bought!

Meg’s ‘horse update vlog’. Basically ‘here’s a homebred, we won’t be keeping him/her’.
Stop breeding just because you want pretty colours. You are just churning more horses out into the world. Saying she wants another foal off Bear eventually, then in the next breathe admitting that being a tall adult she needs to move away from the native types if she wants to event.

I think I’m going to stop watching Meg’s content, I just can’t get on board with her anymore.

Was also surprised to see how wee Brego still is. Same height as Moose, who she is selling as he will be too small.
Vali looks gorgeous though!!

It was the “I’ve realised that if I want to move up a level in eventing then breeding Welsh Xs won’t help me” that got me…no tit Sherlock! That being said I didn’t know Vali’s breeding until today, I bet he turns into a lovely horse

I wonder if shes realised that she’s pretty much stood still for the last year whilst all around her people have worked hard and stepped up and up. Maybe it’s given her a bit of ambition back? Its all been very sporadic and static for her, very little competing and all seemed very amateur and for the vlog, rather than to compete and progress.

Stopping breeding pointless ponies would be the best thing they can do. I know some of you like Winnie, but to me she’s a poorly bred pony who has less than ideal confirmation and no desire to move forward. She’s a perfect example of why their breeding isn’t good and also why just chucking them in a field and doing nothing until you get them backed isn’t good, she’s rude, doesn’t tie up and won’t move out of trot without spurs.

I thought it was interesting that she said she might take Winnie to London where I would have thought Wilma would be the obvious choice. That partnership really hasn't gelled the way she would have hoped.

I can see her feeling left behind what with Em going to Badminton with Addie (and a decent chance of qualifying for the 100 next year I would think) and if Tina and Enzo get off to a good start it would really show up how poorly she's got started with Wilma. She would do well to have fewer brand trips and spend more time actually working on her content at home (her travel vlogs have pretty bad views compared to her regular stuff too)

I wonder if seeing Enzo might have been a bit of a wake up call for Meg. I think he’d be too much horse for her, personally, but perhaps it’s made her realise that perhaps Wilma isn’t going to be the one for her.
In fairness I thought Wilma was just what Meg needed because she seemed quite straightforward at Ardeo but it seems that there are issues that Meg is really struggling with.

I think it had a few falls 🤔🤔 and it was decided it just wasn't capable to go up the levels like they had originally hoped... But I could be wrong, it feels like it must be a fair amount of time since she tried the gofundme
Emily handed the ride over to Sam & it was the horse that fell & smashed his face really badly at Kelsall in April 2021 (he didn’t compete for the rest of that season). I think it lost the appetite for cross country as it started dumping Josh Levett when he stepped it back up to Novice level - a shame as it was a nice looking horse but lost its trust in riders after a promising start with Emily

Matt and Jesse, I can't wait to see what they bought although I think I can guess, and I thoroughly enjoyed the property hunt (but then I love property hunting shows so property hunting AND horses is heaven).

I thought the abomination they "designed" was ghastly and fit only for Disneyland (or Wellington, which is basically the same)

They have money. Matt was a very successful model, Jesse has been a content creator and "celebrity" (he is huge in Holland) for longer than Matt, and he has his tack company plus his books, and they have that Horse Word TV thingie.

All Star Academy: Tina is remarkably un-shrieky but I can't warm to Meg's presenting style to be honest. Jenny Ruddal she is not.
Can't get that interested in the people either. Strange bunch. Ex Love Island Contestant? Really? And with all due respect, the standard of riding has been better previously.
