Emmerdale got lower viewing figures than Coro and EE on Christmas Day.


Oh dear.

I’m not surprised, there was nothing to it! Eastenders had the Janine/Linda/Mick big storyline and Corrie had Fiz and Tyrone’s wedding plus Daisy and Daniel’s engagement. Emmerdale had nothing apart from being centred around Chas, yet again! Who everyone hates! Oh and the completely unbelievable Caleb storyline which is more confusing than entertaining. Makes no sense whatsoever!
Really, really disappointed with last nights episode. It was a big let down to what normally is a highlight of our Christmas Day! (Sad I know )

It was a pointless episode are they planning anything good for NYD… I don’t recall anything being said… feels like it’s just rumbling on with no big storylines.

Emmerdale has been v. disappointing since the storm eps. They should have saved Faith dying or something for Christmas. This Caleb storyline is boring. Chas gets too much screen time

If they needed to bring in yet ANOTHER Dingle and if it had to be a secret son for Faith, why didn't they Tell us about him when she was dying? Couldn't she have mentioned him in her letters to Chas and Cain?

OK, she'd lost touch and didn't know how to find him but all this so Chas can say to Cain that his past has caught up with him because he didn't tell her about Caleb?
Who is she to taunt Cain with that??? Selfish cow.


It seems to me that the so called hardman Cain has spent his life willingly going to prison for other people's crimes!!!!

It was pretty boring to be fair but it was a nice change in a way , people always complain about soaps going over the top and unrealistic , can't win sometimes

Nope. Caleb seems like villain. He was getting into trouble before Cain rejected him but needed someone else to blame.

I very much enjoyed the soundtrack to last nights episode! And Cain in his prison uniform is defo doing it for me (aware I’m a wrongen, don’t worry!!)

The question was referring to Caleb going jail in Cain’s place to pay his debt. So I don’t see why you quoted me with this…? Caleb wouldn’t even go to jail for himself when he was 15, so why would he go for Cain? How does the car, money or taste correlate?

I was disappointed Home Farm wasn’t featured and shown anything of Kim and Will, Billy and Dawn and the kids. That would have been nice

They've not had Home Farm scenes at Christmas since Jamie and Andrea were together I don't think. I agree with you that it would've been lovely to see it in the Christmas Day episode, even just a little montage.
