Has Narcissistic Personality Disorder or Histrionic Personality Disorder ever been covered? I imagine Borderline Personality Disorder has. I can't recall chronic illness where recovery hasn't occurred either. (i.e. Young teen develops sickness and ends up in wheelchair and doesn't make recovery but also doesn't die. Disability storylines typically end with either death or total recovery. No in between lmao.)

ETA: Female representation of autism? A hot topic at the moment too.

I hope not.

This is a soap for goodness sake.

Well I never… you learn something new everyday. 😮

I'm thinking BPD / EUPD. To my knowledge it's not been covered on a soap, although a lot of fans thought David Platt might be BPD a while ago, it wasn't a storyline.

If it is BPD then good luck to them, it's going to be very tricky to get right.

I said this a few pages back and was told that it has been done before.

I’m sure Eastenders did this storyline with Steve Owen’s sister. I think Emmerdale have made a very bold statement saying Cathy’s storyline has never been done before by any of the soaps. I’m struggling to think what it might be as they’ve done pretty iche everything across them all!!
Was that called PMDD back then though? Think it was the Di Marco sister, but she was an adult Di it hasn't been done as a teen storyline

Yes obviously Chris Tate wasn't a teenager but I did think good on Emmerdale at the time for not having him make a miracle recovery to regain use of his legs. I think the actor was fully aware at the time that there would be no recovery ref ability to walk and was glad he chose to stay for a long time still. Yes female autism is a hot topic you are right, so could be a good shout..

It was absolutely crap
The attempt to recreate The Vicar of Dibley episode where the vicar has to eat 3 sets of Christmas dinner but with Liam 🙄
Half arsed dancing in the village
The attempts to make Paddy unlikeable when he has every reason to be enraged
Urgh
Agree!! And Paddy has every right to be annoyed, if Al was still here, Chas would have taken his daughter away!
And this storyline about Faith having another child, and in her dying days she never mentioned him

I know I feel a bit as though with Faith's secret son coming in to it it has slurred the memory of her. I am maybe being a bit over dramatic but I think when she died she was well liked and she had made her peace with her children. This other son just throws all that up in the air and I think it's a shame.

I really liked Faith as a character, and I think this storyline that she had another child is awful tbh.
Also was so pissed off with Chas lighting that firework, there should have been others there, Moira, Sarah, Eric and Bear at least, she's a selfish mare!!!
