It looked very promising,like we were getting rid of him when he was mixing with gangsters and they issued him an ultimatum. And then surprise surprise nothing more about it. Same with Kerry and the redheads father, would he not be looking for them?

It was her first appearance. No idea who she is. She literally appeared from nowhere...there was nobody around when it showed Vanessa getting in the car then boom your woman appears.

I too thought the cake woman seemed familiar. I'd rather they didn't make her a love interest for 'Ness'. I'm thinking she could be Nate's long lost sister.

Aah OK, writers attempt at subtle.
Bet you are right.
You can just imagine the script meeting.

Producers: give Vanessa a new love interest
Writers: plant an unknown woman in the middle of a small hamlet in the countryside and have Vanessa almost run her over in her car.
Oh and for realism let's have the woman carrying a cake.

I’m assuming that’s what they’re getting at with the no interest in any of the girls, being the “best friend” to Amelia, giving them boy advice etc, feeling uncomfortable in certain situations and the stereotypical being good at hair / make up etc. i think he will fall for Jacob.

I thought he liked Amelia!

He is a good lil actor. Strange that the teen characters were acting like realistic humans, yet the adult characters were acting like children written by children.
