The consultant is hardly going to turn around and say you are doing shite is he. Even if they think that surely they have to be encouraging to keep you on the journey...

Who knows if she even told him the truth of what her weight (and diet..) actually is? I'm guessing she did the sob story of what's going on with her dad and that's why she's not losing that much and he said "you're doing what you need to" or similar just to be nice.

100% - Emma loves a good sob story. She loves to throw out she was homeless when she was younger, "cancer" and now her Dad. Attention seeking nasty piece of work.

The issues with her dad were already the excuse that she has been unable to control her emotional and food issues.

That's the problem. There's always an excuse. Always an emotive reason why she can't do something/behaves as she does with nope days etc. There no accountability. This is why the NHS way to the surgery would have been much better as they take at least 6m and give counselling and if found not to be working hard for it (or gain weight) then youre not allowed it.

We all know it is too hard for Emma and her willpower /impulse control would have had the NHS turn her down for it.its all about her instant gratification

Sorry... I keep adding screen shots!
But... I am so curious... are these the boots she bought recently, I can’t tell? 🤔

I bet they have a expected weight loss bracket that's like in the first year you can expect to lose from x weight and shes taken that as acceptable weight loss. Shes doing the bare minimum and achieved the bare minimum and that's ok with Imma.
They expect you to lose around 80% of your excess weight following a bypass with the majority of that being in the first year. Weight loss slows down after 6 months and then even more so after 12 months.

I’ve said this before but my friend had WLS in November. She’s nearly 6 stone down now already. duck knows what Imma has been doing but she’s clearly been over eating. It’s not even hard to lose 1lb a week without WLS, you literally just change a few things.
