Emily In Paris - Netflix

I liked it. I haven’t finished it yet. Think I have two episodes left. I’ve just watched the one where she goes to the parents chateau.
It is rubbish and rubbish acting as well. But it’s a 25 minute watch without having to think about anything and no delicate plot lines and twists to keep up with.
The sex was very awkward in this episode but I won’t say why as don’t want to post spoilers.
I have seen i think 2 eps, but the "phone sex" scene was so cringe, I cannot imagine anything else. Does anyone think they will do a second series?

Nearly finished this, think it's something you can watch mindlessly. The scene where her and that other American woman are in a restaurant that requires the waiters to speak only in English was very cringe!
that American woman actually reminded me of a lot of American tourists and residents from when I lived in Rome tbh.
I bet the new series will be even more stereotyping as they have just realised so many people hate watch, all publicity is good publicity etc

Full of French stereotypes like bitchy women and slimy men. The passionate scenes were too tame. The outfits on Emily were out there. Emily lived up to stereotypes too like being an English speaker who moves to a foreign country without the courtesy of learning their language first.

Loved it - I struggle with getting into new series but a friend recommended it !
Looking forward to series 2 but apart from finding out if she gets with the chef not sure where it could go ? We shall see !

I have went down the rabbit hole of European shows. Now watching Valerie on Netflix. Set in Madrid.

I am looking forward to season 2 of Emily to see the chef !!!!

Currently watching - It’s an easy watch in that it’s not heavy on plot and the episodes are short. I feel like it’s trying to almost be like Sex and the City for 2020 and the influencer generation. I’m not hating it but it’s such a cringe fest that is quite obnoxious overall.
It’s like how many French/Paris cliches and stereotypes can you pack into one show? It all feels quite unrealistic and I don’t like how Emily as the American seems to know better and get it right always over all the French people in it, who are all horrible for some reason. Emily also swans around in the strangest outfits that are surely way too expensive for her and just don’t seem what you would wear to work!

Lily Collins is better than this surely?!
This is exactly what it is. It's by Darren Star who was the writer if SATC I loved it but I'm a bit SATC fan also!
