So true and honestly everything she has gone through others have gone through too! Sorry to be harsh but she not some special survivalist. Everyone has things in their lives they struggle with...not everyone has money to fall back on.

This! I know and know of people who were stuck living with ex's for months after breaking up bc they couldn't afford rent for somewhere else. Or if they manage to move out they can't move back home because of the costs. So they are stuck alone in a city or state they aren't familiar with and are stuck working until they can afford to get out.

Most people aren't lucky enough to have a parent with enough money to move them out like ginette does for Elle. I'm sure most parents would love to but realistically even if they are comfortable it isn't easy to fund a cross country move.

Her privilege has saved her from a lot of awfulness and I don't think she has any idea how things like this happen quite often to people.

I know people , myself included, who came out of school with lots of loans and get out into the workforce and realize your expensive specialized degree either isn't getting you a job with as much pay as you need or you realize isnt want you thought it would be and are stuck working a miserable job for 10+ years until you can pay off the loan and then go back to school.

Elle was lucky enough she didn't have to worry about money. One of my old coworker's was lucky enough to get a full ride for her degree (unheard of in my field) and she left after a couple years and became a realtor.

I think after the whole Rick fiasco people have clued in that Elle is somehow subsidized (no one doesn’t work for a whole year, move across the Country twice in that year, and can still afford $x,xxx bags without some source of serious money). Her fashion sense and makeup videos are dated and old fashioned.
True! And now it’s been nearly 2 years since she’s worked and Elle bought a brand new $45k car that she “saved” for.

No one believes she saved up for that car, she couldn’t even save for a down payment. From what source of income? She’s already lied and said she gets no money from Ginette to support her. She makes next to nothing from YT, and the co-op “law job” on Bainbridge is nothing other than something to put on a resume and tell unsuspecting boyfriends and the few Karens she has left that she’s employed as a “lawyer”. Combine that with her failed Nouvelle pearl and scarf shilling and she can keep her cupboards full of gud pasta, pay for housekeeping, and buy Ginette a lousy token gift for Christmas and birthdays.

It will be more of the same for this fake pretentious scammer with or without YouTube. Until she gets therapy and takes time to work on herself (no one’s holding their breath), a leopard doesn’t change it’s spots.

Is it possible for her to change at this rate? She's not old in the grand scheme of things but people's personalities are pretty set by 30 and she's 33 this year. She also has no incentive to change since Ginette supports and funds all her poor decisions. I also suspect that Ginette's true thoughts and values are more aligned with Elle's than we realize, since she must've learn that from somewhere and we know she doesn't have many friends or other family.

It would help her reputation going forward but all the bad stuff is already out there so it'll be an uphill battle forever.

It’s very unlikely, but I never say never because I know a couple people that made huge strides in changing their selfish and self sabotaging ways either because of a humbling life circumstance or finally realizing no one wanted to be around them. Either way it takes humility and enough desperation for change to get there.

I'm sure Elle could change certain things in her life, but the underlying personality will likely always be there. The research shows that "persistent intervention and major life events" can help change our personalities.

Elle's been through a pretty few significant life events (being dumped by Rick and having to flee, being unemployed for a year, having live-in boyfriends dump her) and nothing really changed. Persistent intervention? Hard when she doesn't engage with anything or anyone - no volunteering, no financial pressures, no job, no family outside her mother, no professional growth or development, no friends.

I agree with @poshspice88 to never say never though. For all we know, this break from YouTube is because Elle is busy with her real life. I'd be happy for her to quit YouTube - it only serves to feed the ego, and the majority of people on YouTube morph into crazy narcissists.

I am not new to guru gossip (or tattle life?) and certainly not new to Elle Florence bashing.

Can anyone tell me why the vlogmas from 2 years ago is just gone? Did she just delete it all because of Rick? She also deleted tons of her old videos too, right?

Also, I saw Rick's Youtube channel, what in the actual F#$% is that?!?!?

She deletes videos with her boyfriends or those in which she mentioned them because she seems to think that if you remove the videos, everyone will forget about those relationships 😂

Yes, we do know about Rick's YouTube channel. It's a cringe fest. So is his Instagram!

I feel like Elle completely ignores all the failures she's ever had and just chugs along, doing the same things again and again. She gives the impression of someone who claims they're unlucky when things don't go their way, instead of reflecting on how her actions may have led to the same results every time. We've seen her take advantage of and try to scam every man she's ever dated with that creepy cheshire cat grin on her face as she stares adoringly into the new love of her life's eyes. We've watched her throw love and commitment at every man ASAP and they all leave her very quickly. She even brings them to the same spots in Hawaii near her mom's retirement condo, wears too tight low cut tops while flirting with them like a bimbo, and "cucks" them the same carb heavy, cheesy dishes we've seen her cook for years. She's a one trick pony.

Yes, the very definition of insanity. She and Ginette will end up being the Grey Gardens of Bainbridge! 🤪

She has deleted a ton of content, including videos prior to the Rick era. She seemingly only deletes content featuring boyfriends, I guess in some attempt to hide the fact that her relationships ever existed. Yet atrocious videos from the Rick era, such as her Express workwear video filmed in Rick's driveway, are still up.

Not sure if you watched, but vlogmas 2019 featuring Rick was terrible. She was doing two videos a week and there was nothing remotely festive, fun or fabulous about them. The highlight of the season for Elle was getting to wear her burgundy YSL bag out to lunch when her mother came to visit.

was that the vlogmas where they went to buy Christmas lights at Lowe’s or Home Depot and she was acting like a 5 year olds d Rick was schmoozing the senior sales associate. They really were two peas in a pod. 😂

I think the highlight was when she opened that cheese advent calendar and chased after Rick to make him taste the cheese. He eventually delivered his baroque review in front of a garage.
