I don't know if I am the only one but I feel like they're trying to make Lexi Tiffany Butcher #2 but she made it work whereas Lexi comes across as an unlikeable brat.

Yes Maisie was very likeable as a child and a good actress at a young age.

Lexi is reminding me of Violet Elizabeth Bott 😄

i feel for the little actress playing lexi because she just can’t deliver her “sassy” lines right (she’s decent in quieter scenes). as said above, maisie smith was a great young actress who gave tiffany a lot of charm and cheekiness. lexi’s line deliveries just always fall flat. i feel mean saying that about an actual child though 🤣

I used to post on digital spy years ago but the forum there is very cliquey and moralistic about everything. Some of them are unsufferabley righteous and completely devoid of humour which is why I left.

I remember posting that Karen's younger boys were terrible actors and got a whole pile on about how they had 'special needs' so I was witch of the century for that. It's funny how they've completely disappeared now and are never mentioned!
 
The actor who plays Nugget is truly terrible, the worst of all the teens. I like Lily and I almost like Denzel, both are reasonable actors. I'm not keen on Amy, they need to work on making her more likable before they expect the viewer to care about her, or even make her unlikable as they did with Janine Butcher. They need better writers when introducing new characters. Us viewers care about the older characters because they were well written when they were introduced but recently, every new character has dived. I think the only new character I like is Howie but it's because of how Kim is written that I care
 
Some fandoms /threads be like that though, they become insular so anyone with an opposing view gets shouted down by the regulars, there are few like that here too.
The child and young actors are fair game as far a surprise am concerned especially when they can’t actually act.
The young actress who plays Lola and Ben’s kid seems to act as she is in an audition for Annie on Broadway everytime she is onscreen. One of the worst kid actors they have on there. She needs to dial it down by at least a 100 and I’m surprised no one has had a word.

It sounds harsh, but you’re correct. Someone who pursues a career in acting has to expect criticism. These are kids who will have no doubt had years of auditions and have heard negative things before. I would never be nasty about things they can’t change, such as their appearance, but acting ability is fair game. Half the time it’s not even the kid’s fault, they’re just miscast, not directed properly, or given scenes that are too advanced for them. If a director stepped in and asked Lexi to speak a bit more naturally, she’d be much more bearable.

lily is definitely the best of the kid actors. denzel has potential and i honestly don’t mind the boy who plays tommy either - lexi is just bad and they write the character in a way that doesn’t help her. surely someone should have noticed that her delivery doesn’t quite hit the mark and change it or coach her on how to say it?

fully agree that every new character has fallen completely flat. for at least the past two years i would say. they’ve even botched the return of numerous returning characters (what was the point of peter even coming back?!)
 
Whatever happened to Scarlett's pony??

I really enjoyed their last 'youth movement' with Jay, Ben, Lola etc about 10 years ago. I'm really not keen on this one. I think Lily has potential but Nugget and Denzel drive me mad, not to mention their misogynistic behaviour towards the girls.

I understand why it's being done, but I much prefer screen time for the older characters who we know so well.
