I want to care about the teens storylines, but actually I don’t. Mainly because I’m old enough to remember when some of the now adult characters had similar teeny angst storylines. I know it’s a soap and they recycle storylines but I’m more interested in the Panesars and Daddy P villainous ways. Also the Eve /Sukhi storyline. The less we see of Jean the better.

Can we also see more of Linda, Sharon even Karen and the not having any money to pay bills storyline.

EE keeps adding characters, not investing in them for years and then giving them big storylines when no one is invested in them.

Exactly. If I want to see stories about teenage angst I’ll watch the Disney channel

the previous teens were also much more involving characters imo. i remember genuinely caring about the likes of jamie/zoe/sonia/martin back in the day, and even ben/jay/lola. like you say, the show has done nothing to make us care about the current young cast and then expects us to be interested in their storylines. we have no sense of who they are.

the writing at the moment is all over the place. there’s no real time given to let characters or storylines breathe, and they throw a million issue based plots into the mix and never see them through until the end.

The self harm storyline, like a lot of issue storylines seems to have come out of nowhere. Okay she's had the relationship with Denzel but that was also very rushed. Where is the buildup? Where is the characterisation? Why are we supposed to care?

I bet when the storyline's over they'll be forgotten again and either leave the square or get shoved back in the cupboard with the other EE kids.

Or they come back with new heads 5/6 years later.

I have no interest in Felix and Finaly. Hope they have something lined up for them. There is NO mention of their past - as if they didnt have lives pre Albert Square.

I hope they develop Karens money problems storyline but feel they could have given that story to a more 'well off' character to highlight the realness of it all. Maybe Sharon?

Will never forget this masterpiece

Not enjoying so many medical storylines, one after the other, especially when spoilers are available which tell us the outcome . Will have to stop watching as it's too depressing. Only exception will be Dot's funeral - bound to be a good episode
I must admit I don't know why they had to announce Lola's exit storyline and the fact she dies. I think that has ruined it completely.

Like with Stuart's cancer storyline (just an example but there are others) I didn't know if he was going to die from it or not (there may have been spoilers but I missed them) so I was genuinely invested.

Then again, I'm not totally against them announcing things in advance, like the fact Janine is leaving at Christmas. I can just about bear her knowing its only for a couple more months.

Felix and Finlay are so boring. Every scene with them is the same.

Middle aged female character: Cor, I don’t understand this new pop culture thing
Felix: Umm, excuse me sweetie. Yaaas kween slay. Fierce.
Finlay: Did you know my brother’s a drag queen?
