What a legend. I suspected everything wasn't right when she didn't go to the funeral of her long time friend Leonard Fenton back in January. It reminded me of when Bruce Forsyth missed the funeral of Ronnie Corbett because you wouldn't miss the funeral of a long time mate over many many decades unless you were in a bad way, so bad you didn't even go for say half an hour to show your face.

I hope she now has the on screen funeral she deserves and they bring back some old characters for cameos for a few episodes to be there at it. Even though she left the show I suspect the producers would have known one way or another how she was getting on, so I suspect plans are probably already in place to kill off Dot and make a storyline out of who legally owns her house and gets hold of the Dr Legg cash.
 
Poor June! What a legend. I didn’t realise how old she was though!

I lost this thread for a while.. but I’m back ;). So.. Bernie called her kid what…? I’m sure I saw it online somewhere and it was quite the unique name

Edit: not her kid, I mean Raine and Stewart’s baby.

It will surely be written into the show now that Dot has died, there’s not really any other option. They should give the character a huge, lovely send off and then dedicate the episode to June.

I definitely think an episode dedicated to her is needed. I hope they do something & do it well

So true. It was sad that she was brought back from Ireland and put in a poor storyline. Nobody can blame her for wanting to leave for good, but it's a shame she didn't get a proper send off on screen.
