I doubt Dean would even be able to step foot in America with his criminal record. He wouldn’t be able to get a visa waiver, so would have to go through the hassle of getting a proper tourist visa. Also when they realise he’s got a one way ticket and no cash, he’d quickly be shoved on a plane home.

I’m assuming Pakistan is not exactly an easy country to move to either.

It’s ridiculous isn’t it? Dean phones up to rent a house in America, just like that. Where is his proof of income, his eligibility to be in the country, his money for deposit and rent in advance? You can’t just move to the States 🙄
Come to that, how on earth is he affording the rent on a smart two bed all mod cons apartment in London? Must be a lot of people eating eels :)

I know we have to suspend belief in soapland (especially Walford :rolleyes:) but.do the writers think we're totally stupid?
 
Two things have been bothering me lately and it's not global warming or the imminent threat of WW3 it's much more important than that. Firstly, why did the six feel the need to send Rocky off to the clanger? Surely he's going to have far too much thinking time on his hands and he's going to be mulling that fateful night over and over in his head and something is going to click? Much better to have left him on the square where Kaff could have distracted him with her red eyeliner. Secondly. How the duck did convicted felon Ben Mitchell ever get to the US in the first place? Surely he couldn't get through immigration? Poor Vicky Pattison can't go to the US after she stilettoed someone in the head. DISCLAIMER: I can't bear VP so the more miserable her life is the better as far as Im concerned.

the ben stuff was ridiculous start to finish. he would never have gotten into the us (and then equally, the us authorities wouldn’t have attempted to extradite him for what was relatively minor credit card fraud). i know, as said above, that we have to suspend belief but sometimes stuff is just nonsense 🤣 and like you say, keeping rocky close and distracted is surely better than giving him the ability to really have some thinking time?!?

actually speaking of ben and rocky, it’s still odd to me that the official ee social media didn’t do any kind of goodbye post for max bowden when they did for brian conley (when he allegedly left under bad terms).

I suppose the restaurant could have become popular on instagram, with hipsters and tourists lining up to ironically eat an eel (or take one bite for a photo then go off to McClunkys for chips).

But no way would a place that small already be in profit and making enough to support Dean and his fancy ass loft in east London. That’s Monica from Friends levels of ridiculous and they can’t claim he inherited a rent control place or whatever her deal was.

I quite fancy pie mash and liquor right now.

Of course the women are going to keep the fatal fork even though it will inciminate them 🙄Linda's an idiot not to have thrown it in the canal herself 🙄
