Eastenders #27 Ben has been slapped down for good

There is such a bloated cast at the moment.

It's too big and too many not doing anything, not having proper storylines or any real purpose.

The Square needs new blood (more than just extended family of existing families), but at the same time, needs a massive clear out of the cast.

And there was that one episode where Sharon appeared only once in the pub for a couple of minutes and didn’t even speak. And there were a couple of episodes where other members of the six had to keep making excuses as to why she wasn’t there
 
If we are getting rid of characters my list would at least include the following:

Sonia and Reiss obvs
Harvey and Jean 🙄
Lauren and Peter
Penny, Bernie and Whitney.

EE has had an amazing year last year but it doesn’t know what to do with characters who aren’t part of a major storyline. It has too many characters like Sonia that need to be culled or at least sent away for a long holiday to Milton Keynes! Then you have side characters that just feel like a tick box exercise like Bernie and Felix. Lord only knows why Harvey is still there and Jean has turned into a caricature of the original character, who without fail will have a relapse to coincide with with national MH day or something. Yawn.

George has been a good addition, so has Ian and Cindy but they need to give them decent storylines. We also need another strong family in there. All of Dots family, extended or otherwise needs to go.
