She reminds of Jo from Grey's Anatomy having to tell everyone how she lived in her car every five minutes. It's just absolute misery every time Whitney comes on screen, bet she can't wait to leave and do something fun!

They have some really dodgy and quite uninteresting slow storylines at present.

Sonia and Reiss, wake up Debbie and make it stop!
Whitney and Zack, she's leaving so where is this going?
Rocky and Kathy, he's leaving and cannot come too soon.
Jay and Nadine, suddenly she is living near the underground station but we have never seen her before.

IVF, adoption, gambling and ketamin.

i agree with you that the character is a bit too much for him on current evidence too. he couldn’t sell any of the conflict freddie feels about his dad, which should be really compelling. but i enjoy him with bobby and in the lighter scenes.

I've really enjoyed the Freddie character as a bit of lightness, loved the fact they had a trouble free teen who wasn't doing drugs or being groomed or self harming, even his foot pics for Secret Cam was light because of his attitude to it. The production team need to remember that viewers also want fun and laughter. I hope they don't turn him into another Whitney

He is good at the light and silly stuff. There's no reason they can't have an unproblematic, goofy character who is never involved in the drama. If anything, people liked him because of this - in a show that is increasingly dark and ridiculous, you need a lovable clown. That's why Shakespeare always had one in his tragedies!

Couldn't agree more with you. Not every soap character has to be broken in some way. There is no harm in letting someone be in the show for years just producing funny scenes and not really doing much that's got substance to it. When he returns I hope he's back to fun and loveable Freddie. The past month or so with him out of character kissing the lass his best mate likes and then battering someone close to death just didn't suit him.

Mine is Chelsea/Zara Abrahams which is ridiculous I know since the writers have zero interest in her as a character 🥴🥴 I always pick the characters the writers aren’t arsed about.

He was like a labrador looking out the window. What I don't get is, he was on the verge of a breakdown one minute and obsessing over being like his dad, then as soon as he got home from the station he was back to his normal, irritatingly chirpy self, not a care in the world 😂
