i always thought they killed off the wrong branning daughter. abi was a more interesting character (even when she went full dark abi) and a better actress: i would have preferred for her to stay over boring lauren.

Abi annoyed me but she was definitely more interesting. She was so capable of being so manipulative and awful that it would have been great to have her as a villain as she got older. There are plenty of people on the square she could have clashed with. Plus she has a Beale baby.

I have no doubt they’ll bring Abi Jr into it in a few years as a moody teenager.

The post announcing her return mentions her being the daughter of Max the “much loved bad boy” but no mention of Tanya. Maybe he’s next on Chris Clenshaws return list

exactly! she also had strong links to the current younger cast - being childhood friends with ben, jay’s first love etc…: she had a lot of potential and i feel like the actress would have pulled it off. killing her was just so pointless.

fully expecting abi jnr to be back at some point too.

Ronnie and Roxy are probably high on the list because viewers loved them.

Also most of the young peoples deaths on the square. There’s a whole generation missing that they’re now having to fill with new characters instead of bringing back established ones. As much as I love the fierce female characters it’s way too middle aged on the square right now.
