Eastenders #18 Take me down to Ian Beales chippy, where the sausage is long and the chips are greasy

Phwoar, I wish Martin could slam me against the wall like that 🤤😍

Given the shock of a 13 y/o having a baby, it didn’t occur to me that Lily and Ricky would have to name her 🤣. At least they made it somewhat realistic by honouring a favourite singer rather than a deceased family member 🤣. Even I was thinking “aw, after Charlie Slater” 😂. I thought her middle name would be Jean as Lily is super close to her Nan.

The Theo storyline is far from over. His mention of Max and her other exes makes me think there’s someone else involved in the background. I doubt he would’ve got that much info from news articles etc 😳. Plus, they wouldn’t have released a trailer for just 2 days of madness

Why on earth did Sonia go to the hospital? She does realise there are doctors and nurses already there and her service were not required? Was also howling at Callum telling Lexi to look at the ambulance, I thought he was going to say "come and see if we can see the baby" She lives in London for god sake, I'm pretty sure she's seen an ambulance before

I haven’t watched Eastenders consistently since maybe 2016, but the last few weeks I have been hooked 🤣 Lacey Turner is one of the best actresses in soap history, she’s unbelievable. Could definitely see her being one of the rare few that actually make it as an actress outwith the show if that’s something she ever wanted to do.
Same! I went to stay with a friend who’s an EE addict over the summer and was forced to watch it! Initially I was just interested to see how they were going to bring Cindy and Ian back in but I’m pretty much fully invested in all of it now. 🙈 Plus already knowing there’s something big coming at Christmas is keeping my interest too.

I was shocked that Ben had no advice to offer Lexi over her pencil case. He should have said "don't take the babyish one as everyone will take the piss, take the most bland one you can find so nobody nicks it". Easy Ben 😉

As for Theo obviously we haven't seen the last of him. Hopefully this storyline will illustrate how hard it is for women to get rid of stalkers even after they've reported them to the police.

I'm really glad they're doing a big, ensemble story for Christmas. For so long the Christmas Day episode was a staple every year, sprawled out on the sofa, cracker hat still on, debating whether you're too full to open the box of chocolates or make some cheese and crackers. Then for me it became the Carter show and I was bored, it felt like they forgot there were plenty of other characters on the square and everything seemed to centre around them. In all honesty I'm quite glad the family has filtered down, wouldn't mind Shirley back but can't help but feel she would be a bit of a spare part these days with no Hev, Mick or Tina.

What's your best Christmas day ep/story? For me it has to be the Max/Stacey affair reveal

Nee Naw Nee Naw 🚨

Unpopular opinion but I really don’t want EE to normalise under age pregnancy for the umpteenth time, and may skip the scenes of a 13yo giving birth. I think they need to show more involvement from social services as well. They were fobbed off recently… 😆
Totally respect your opinion. What I do think is important from the birth scene is how well Stacey handled it considering the Theo situation happening at the same time.

I'm not the biggest fan of Jean but she was great too

Well we got to see angry Martin minus the top missing so I'm happy. I was tearing up at the baby scenes between Ricky changing his name, lily giving birth and the whole Charlie xcx xyz/uncle Charlie. The wee baby is making me so broody, she's so cute. Wonder what freaky Theo will do next...

I'm just glad for a break from the show massaging Danny Dyer's ego for a decade.

Dirty Den's murder will always be up there for me.

I agree and it looks obvious already that Lily will find it hard to be a mother. She'll struggle to bond with the baby and give the child priority.

I’m not sure which episode was the Christmas Day one but the whole Tiffany & Grant storyline with the baby monitor affair reveal and her falling down the stairs in the Vic. And then just as she was getting back on her feet (no pun intended!) she was run over by Frank Butcher. That era was peak EE for me!
