Ben trying to be all Marlon Brando crying in the street was too much. Fed up of the lad, he is too main character.

Hate the new family only because the writers are as thick as mince and just recreate old scenes rather than write anything new. The sister's schtick has been done so many times and the dad's bit of helping some resident with basic wisdom is such an overused trope.

I'd tell Linda's mum to duck off but she's the type of woman that turns me into a shrinking violet. :ROFLMAO:

I think the new family is hiding a secret. George on the phone to an unknown person in his first episode is typical Eastenders, in order to show he's up yo no good. Was it just me or did the daughters seem a bit scared of their dad? The taller one jumped away from his packing box when she realised it was his and their faces, when he found out they had upset Kathy, they looked a little wary of him. He's possibly too good to be true and Elaine did say he was a gentle giant and then it cut to Jack saying he saw him nearly beat someone to death. This is looking quite good to me

Every single time a new family comes why is it always them just pissing everyone off then the same “I think I’m gonna like it here” at the end
Can’t people just move in and be normal 🤦🏿‍♀️

and why do they arrive whilst a sad event has just taken place in the Square: -

Ronnie & Roxy arrived on what they thought was going to be Phil & Stella’s wedding day but it ended up being the day Stella died

The Slaters arrived the same day as Ethel’s funeral

Iqra & Habiba arrived the same day as Dr Legg’s funeral

Watching Lola’s final episode on Wednesday led me down a YouTube rabbit hole yesterday and I watched a 45 minute video on all the Julia’s themed endings since 1985!! There’s also Peggy’s theme and now Dot’s theme.
But can we have a moments silence for the god awful theme tune change in the 90’s. That was not good. 😂

The awful jazzy one? I think that only lasted a year but what on earth were they thinking with that one?

I agree that their intro was very formulaic and unoriginal.

George being semi famous is new but I'm hoping he's well dodgy 😁 He doesn't need to be Mr Nice Guy for me to like him.

I bet Danny Dyer didn't think they'd be able to replace him with such a great actor 😁 he must feel a bit put out 😆

I really hope that George is going to be mates with Phil as well.

Excellent point about DD, hadn’t considered that.
