Can't bear her nightmare mother!!The girls will soon settle in to their characters I think. Can't stand Linda's mum though. Weird episode to bring them in.
Tbf they packed Ricky off to GermanySomebody should point out to E/E writers that there are other places on the planet beside Spain and Portugal. The Iberian Peninsula has always had a shifting population of people coming to or departing from Albert Square. Usually working in/running bars.
He didn't have any experience pulling pints!Tbf they packed Ricky off to Germany
Every single time a new family comes why is it always them just pissing everyone off then the same “I think I’m gonna like it here” at the end
Can’t people just move in and be normal
Watching Lola’s final episode on Wednesday led me down a YouTube rabbit hole yesterday and I watched a 45 minute video on all the Julia’s themed endings since 1985!! There’s also Peggy’s theme and now Dot’s theme.
But can we have a moments silence for the god awful theme tune change in the 90’s. That was not good.
The awful jazzy one? I think that only lasted a year but what on earth were they thinking with that one?
I agree that their intro was very formulaic and unoriginal.Ben trying to be all Marlon Brando crying in the street was too much. Fed up of the lad, he is too main character.
Hate the new family only because the writers are as thick as mince and just recreate old scenes rather than write anything new. The sister's schtick has been done so many times and the dad's bit of helping some resident with basic wisdom is such an overused trope.
I'd tell Linda's mum to duck off but she's the type of woman that turns me into a shrinking violet.
Excellent point about DD, hadn’t considered that.I agree that their intro was very formulaic and unoriginal.
George being semi famous is new but I'm hoping he's well dodgy He doesn't need to be Mr Nice Guy for me to like him.
I bet Danny Dyer didn't think they'd be able to replace him with such a great actor he must feel a bit put out

I really hope that George is going to be mates with Phil as well.
The Slaters?I swear there was another family who moved in when a funeral was taking place, blocking the procession. Ian got mad at them. But can’t remember who it was!
